Fits our basket coffee maker perfectly. Been using it daily for 2 weeks.Easy to clean, does not allow too much grit to pass (but we grind our own beans).No more running out of coffee filters

I bought this little thing about 3 years ago and still use it. Not to mention the fact that I use it at least once a day, since I have a minor coffee addiction. The only bummer with it is that you have to clean after each use whereas with the paper filters you can be lazy and just throw away after each use. So as long as you can manage rinsing it out after each use, this product will be perfect for you and save a few bucks each year.

I use this 1-2 times a day. Its quality is fine. Save money and waste on using paper filters. Cleans well and doesnt deteriorate as far as I can tell.

I purchased this product through Shop Deals USA, because it stated that it was, "Made In the USA" (which is something my family and I are extremely particular about when it comes to food and drink...if we have the option, we go for USA), and because it stated that it, "Fits all coffee makers using standard basket filters" (we figured we wouldn't have to worry about brand differences).The filter came thrown in a cardboard box, without it's own product packaging, without wrapping or cushioning, and without instructions. There is no marking on it to support the claim that it is Made in the USA.When I returned to my recent orders on Amazon, I realized that it didn't even look like the filter pictured on the product page that I had purchased from.Be careful when ordering from anyone other then Amazon. This is the first time I had a problem, but this has discouraged me from any future purchasing from any of the external merchants who I have not already done business with and trust.

I got this to use with my Black & Decker DLX1050B 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, Black & Decker DLX1050B 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. I was worried it wouldn't fit well because of some of the other reviews but it fits perfectly. It works well and will save me money in the long run. The low price is well worth it.

I agree with the other reviewers that the size of the holes on the mesh are bigger so water passes through faster than it would on paper. The result is a watered-down coffee and lots of sludge. I have the and it works much better. It makes stronger coffee and no sludge. It works almost like a paper filter. I only looked for the steel mesh filter because the Perma-brew is made of Nylon which I thought wouldn't last as long as steel. I guess I will stick to it.I'm giving this 3 stars because it is well-made and looks good.

We bought this to try to be more environment friendly, since we brew coffee several times a day, and it bothered us to see the amount of paper we wasted on the coffee machine filters. Well, it works, but the coffee doesn't taste as rich as it does when compared to paper filters (my explanation is that the plastic one has larger holes, therefore the hot water passes quicker), and it leaves a little bit of very fine powder in the bottom of the jar.
