Going camping for the first time without my husband, who always sets up our ridge line, I was nervous. I’m not great with knots. This made set up so easy. I’ve used this on two camp trips now, one in fair weather and one in severe thunderstorms. The ridgeline held up and kept me protected. Easy to take down and store the line too. It would be nice if it came with a stuff sack since the prussic loops hang out of the reel. I borrowed one from another piece of kit to avoid tangles or hang ups. 9/10 would buy again

Makes setting up a ridge line for my tarp and hammock setup a breeze. No knots needed!! Used it in 4 camping trips now and has cit down my setup time dramatically. Simple design seems well made and strong held up to a few nights of storms. Would recommend or buy again.

What I like about the product is that it puts rope on a reel allowing for quicker and easy set-ups, and take-downs for both standalone tarps, and when used with hammocks. It comes included with some harness rigging as well (prusik ropes) to add functionality and speed in set-up. I like to do backcountry wilderness trips in Jasper Park where generally tents rule, so likely will not pack along on mountain hikes. However, I do see this product as a great choice for my Wilderness Canoe/Pack-raft/Kayak trips I carry out in BC, and Ontario, as can carry more gear. Flat open ground can be hard to find near lake and river shorelines as was the case on my recent Georgian Bay, Philip Edward Island trip where I only packed a tent. However with no hammock, I still needed a tarp set-up as we were storm bound in heavy rains and wind for two days. Setting up in driving wind and rain was tough, so I sought a faster simpler way to set-up, and this should deliver it.

This product is ideal if you don’t want to mess with knots, or are in time crunch. Used it for a ridgeline for my 10’x12’ tarp over my tent that’s 43” tall. The built in Prusik loops are so helpful for keeping everything tight. Very lightweight, was worried the light wouldn’t hold the tension but I was proved wrong. Great product!

Was excited about this till I inspected it and found it with 3 frayed strands about 10 feet from the end. Quite the disappointment considering wanting to use it for campingtrip this upcoming weekend. Overall seems like a good design but unfortunately shipped frayed. Manufacturer needs better quality control.Edit: I got a replacement from the seller and it was in perfect condition. Used it many times within the last year and it works great. Easy windup and does not stretch, quality product.
