Replacing a similar 20 year old OnGuard lock that still works fine. I can see improvements though. It is lighter and the coating appears more durable. The keys are smaller and one of the six comes with a little led light. There is a sliding key hole cover and six keys. The mount doesn't fit a trek 7500 but I never use it anyway as I store it in the carrier. I'm very happy with this lock; it works smoothly and has never failed.

The shackle appears solid and the extra keys is a nice bonus. However, this came without any lubrication whatsoever. The mechanism are a bit rough. Need to lubricate it first before use. Also, the manual recommends lubricating with WD-40. This is not a good idea. WD-40 is not a good lubricant (if it can be called that at all). It will also attract dirt. Locks like this should be lubricated with a dry lube. I personally used the same dry lube I use on bike chains and that helps to loosen up the mechanism somewhat. I also feel that it needs time to break in as the mechanism does stick at times. I almost feel like I need to sit down and go through the lock/unlock motions a few thousand times to smooth out the rough edges in the machined parts.I think I read some reviewers (not here) mentioned that the mounting is awkward. This is not true. If one were to read the manual that came with it (it's only 1 page), one would be able to see that the attachment piece on the shackle can be twisted to accommodate different mounting positions.Overall, this is a solid shackle.

Antifurto robusto ed abbastanza partirà essere legato facilmente ad un palo di medie dimensioni. Ottimo anche il kit di chiavi fornite a corredo, di cui una con una piccola e comoda torcia elettrica. Un acquisto che consiglio.
