Great grates. Sturdy and beautifully coated. These seem very resistant to weather elements also. We had a rainy week and they look brand new after the storm. I do recommend and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Dimensions were right on and the welding in top notch! Very sturdy and the finish on the grate is well applied. Will definitely buy again when I need new racks! Top notch!!!

I have had this grate for 2 seasons at my camp and I am happy to have purchased this. I was looking for something I could lay over top of my square fire pit and this brand I great because they have different sizes to pick from.I was concerned initially that high temperatures would affect any coating or even the metal itself but it holds up well.We like to cook steaks, bacon, etc on this and it does a great job. The x pattern is also a nice touch when cooking meats.A nice bed of coals is best for cooking on this grate.

Bought for our fire pit , seems well made. I did season it as directed, it’s large, long and it’s a bit heavy because it’s made so well. I will be buying another one for another property in the summer.

I used as a shelf and purchased for that reason. I had to cut the handles iff as they are welded on. It is built very well.

I've made 1000s of purchases on Amazon throughout the years and this is the very first review of a product I've ever given.This cooking grate is the worst purchase I've ever made on here. I used it yesterday for the first time and before I even placed a single item of food on it, the paint flecked off. When I removed it from the fire to scrape the loose paint away, the grate twisted when it cooled and now it doesn't sit level across my fire pit. It's like it wasn't designed to be exposed to heat. I have a $60 piece of scrap metal that was brand new just yesterday morning. I don't know what you could use this grate for but it's definitely not made well enough to be cooking over a fire.

The product is light weight / frame suitable only for burgers, steaks etc. NOT a roasting pan. High heat caused warping of the mesh and paint to burn / leaving paint ash residue. I looked online re: manufacturer - couldn’t see if they used food safe paint ie no lead. In the end, I burned off the paint and found an old cast iron frame that I now use to support the grill. Rusts a bit - but that probably is a good thing since I hope the grill might mostly be iron - not toxic re: cooking.

Good size, but not even on the fire 3 minutes and the paint bubbled. I would recommend burning off all the paint first before using so you're not eating paint stick to your food. It worked overall, but the grate did warp

Full disclosure - I ordered this for something besides a fire pit. I have a Char-Griller Gravity 980 smoker and wanted a large removable second shelf to use in it. I ordered the 32" version as the inside of the cooking chamber of the Gravity 980 is just under 36". Once I received the cooking grate I immediately removed the metal handles so it would work for the purposes I wanted. I used four 1/2 x 6" stainless steel carriage bolts for legs (heads down to be used as feet) as well as two stainless steel washers and two nuts for each "leg" to make the shelf usable. I am very happy with how it all worked out.As to the grate itself it is very nice. I like how the grating is flat and not sharp and uneven like many others. The construction is good quality but I wouldn't see this being used heavily for more than a season or two on a fire pit; my usage will be much less intense and it should last a long time. The handles were welded very well as I had to break out a jigsaw to remove them.

I took this grill out camping for a week and used it directly over the campfire - sometimes with charcoal and sometimes just the over the burning logs and embers. The grill performed extremely well. It is big enough to cover the entire fire pit so you can cook a lot and move the food around to find the hot and cooler spots as needed. The handles were far enough away from the actual fire to stay cool. We cooked chicken wings, steak, peppers and onions for fajitas, pork satay and pork chops, all of them released really well. The grill also cleaned up quite easily. I highly recommend this grill for campfire use.
