Product Description

The sprinkler riser extractor tool is engineered to remove broken PVC and cut-off risers from PVC fittings. It is constructed from durable zinc with a dipped handle to provide a solid grip. Simply insert the tool into the broken section of pipe so that the teeth bite into the plastic, and then rotate the handle counterclockwise to remove the riser pipe. It does this without damaging the threads of the fitting. The extractor tool is available in 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch riser sizes which are commonly used for sprinkler heads.

From the Manufacturer

The 3 Piece Nipple Extractor Combo includes 2 interchangeable heads for 1/2 In. and 3/4 In. risers and a steel handle. The set extracts broken 1/2 In. and 3/4 In. risers from PVC fittings.

I was on the fence about trying this but glad I pulled the trigger. I do minor sprinkler repairs, and this has come in handy. It works on the soft polly risers best but did a decent job pulling out a firmer broke off riser too. I don't think it will work well on the hard grey risers but haven't tried myself yet. I suggest never using the gray risers in anything but a flower bed as a shrub sprayer.

Wow , what a time saver . My gardeners seem to find my sprinklers by accident. Breaking them off . When the happens it leaves the thread in the pipe. You just push the tip of tool into pipe, then twist, and broken part screw out . Like I said ,Wow!

I tried a different style nipple extractor that just didn't want to work. Plus it was short so it was awkward to use. This Orbit Plastic Pipe Nipple extractor worked PERFECTLY. I'm so happy.

Just what the headline said. Great for a quick and easy fix. Initially I was concerned because it wasnt biting the nipple, it was just shaving it off. I swapped to the larger extractor tip, and after more shaving, it finally caught and came out. Popped on another riser and head, and filled the hole with dirt. Done! Total repair time was under 5 minutes. Great little tool to have, at a great price!

I just followed the directions to remove the broken end of the sprinkler. You get two sizes. The key is to apply pressure and turn counter clockwise to remove the broken end that’s stuck. Could not believe how simple this was to use. I didn’t wait for my husband to come home and fix it. Why should he have all the fun?

Had a nylon drain plug break off inside my camp trailer water heater. I bought the expensive nipple extractors after watching a few YouTube videos and they could not get the job done. I saw this one here on Amazon and ordered it. I removed the busted off nylon plug in about 30 seconds. Don't waste your time and money...these work great !

Trying and succeeding to upgrade the nozzles and sprinkler heads on my 30-year-old irrigation system. Have worn out one of these tools and need another to continue the work, and work it is, especially in the heat of southeast Texas. Who would have thought back when the system was installed that plastic underground subject to the mud, dirt and temperature extremes would work ever?? Sometimes the pipe nipple just disintegrates when uncovered. Got better quality and better grade plastic pieces to replace when necessary. When a series of nozzles and fittings are replaced, the system turned on and the nozzles come to life and spray with no leaks, it is a proud moment made possible by this simple tool!!

This was exactly what I needed in the first place. I bought a few other types of pipe wrench devices claiming to be able to do what this little gem does but nothing worked. Ordered this online after watching a youtube video and BAM out the piece came and I was able to repair the connection. HIghly recommend this tool- don't waste your money on anything else!

My sprinter nipple broke about 8 inches under the ground. Searched YouTube for ideas as I was going to dig big hole to get access or get a professional come and do the repair. Thankfully YouTube saved the day and my money! This tool paid for itself in 1 minute! Highly recommended if you have a sprinkler system.
