I've been in the music business for 52 years and I've used all kinds of stands, some good, some not. This one is perfect and I'm using huge compilations of sheet music in 4" binders. This stand is handling that with no problem. For the dummy who's trying to move a music stand by the top and pulling the thing apart....duh. Hold it by the rod to move it. I've never in all the time I've been playing ever grabbed the top of a stand where the music sits and expected it to stay together. Also somebody complained about the screw in to hold the music part of the stand. I'm having no issue with that whatsoever. Should I need another stand, this is the one. The fact that it adjusts past 45" is a real plus for me. I find this to be sturdy, easy to disassemble and light weight to carry. A win, win purchase for me.

I ordered this stand to replace a little folding travel stand I had been using. I needed something a little bigger and more sturdy. Wow did this deliver! I was so impressed with how beefy and professional this stand felt the minute I took it out of the box. I'm not sure what they use on stage for orchestra's, but I felt like I had just added one of those to my music room. Totally awesome stand!

Love it! My daughter plays the cello and had the little metal stand for a few years. She has finally outgrown that. This stand is wonderful because you can adjust the height and also the tilt. The tray is thick enough that she can put her entire music binder on it where before she had to take each piece of music out individually. The springs that hold the pages down are amazing! Super strong. We are very pleased. My son will be starting band next year and I plan to get one for him as well.

Overall this product does the job quite well. It looks nice and stands firmly. The little handle on the main stem that is flipped up or down to adjust the height of the stand is not as convenient to use if you were holding an instrument in your hand. More premium stands do not use a channel. But it’s not a showstopper. Warning: do not try to adjust the height with one hand on the handle. Once you release at the part of the stand that holds the music may come down hard on your fingers as it did mine the first time. Ouch! Secondarily the little arms that support the legs are a little flimsy. I bent them accidentally when trying to figure out how to adjust the feet when I was setting it up for the first time. Other than that, it’s a good deal. I recommended for the money.

We use this music stand in lieu of a podium to hold notes while teaching classes. Our soft-bound textbooks are about 5 pounds and the music stand holds them without a problem. We also use it to hold tablets for recording the class sessions. The arm clamps on the stand hold the tablets in place and the ability to adjust the stand to any height and angle make it easy to record sessions. We've been using the stand for about one year and it has held up admirably: no noticeable loosening of the screws and clamps.

Hopefully I'm the only one to experience this. Firstly, I love the stand and it's very sturdy. The added place holders that push the book or sheet to the stand make it easy to read and worry free of page turns from wind or fans. There is a tightening knob that keeps the music holder tightened to the pole of the stand. Unfortunately, the knob screw seems to just barely undersize with the stand and therefore, it can't tighten. It's not a big issue because it doesn't have to be tight, but it would probably be a tad more sturdy knowing the top stand is tightly fastened to the pole. Other than that... Great stand!!
