This is an excellent A/C gauge set. I was very impressed with the quality of this set and it feels very solid and durable. I was looking at a set like this on one of the tool trucks and it was 3 times as much and did not feel this solid or come with a storage case. I compared the gauges with our R1234YF machine and it reads the same pressures. I really like the wing nut on the hoses so you can tighten them without getting a wrench out, the truck one did not have this feature. If you need a quality set and want to save some money then buy this set and you will be happy you did.

This unit is every bit the professional one I had in my old shop IMO...in fact thanks to all the fittings and whatnot included it might even be a little more functional. The build quality is right there with the tool truck brands. The gauge manifold is freaking luxurious compared to some of the units out there. LOL The value is outstanding as it's a fraction of the cost of the tool truck. Everything seals up nice and tight, no janky connections etcIf you are a home gamer, don't cheap out on the $30 units. Spend a few bucks more for this one and it will do more and last you a good long while. Offer to do neighbors and family recharges and pay the cost back. LOL Heck even if you're a shop that really doesn't do that kind of thing and just want one "to have" this is a good option.

This review is for the Orion Motor Tech AC Gauges, 3 Way Manifold Gauge Set for R1234yf R134a R404a Refrigerant.I ordered these gauges for my personal home use, and they work perfectly if you are looking to save a bit of money and want to check your HVAC pressure or top off refrigerant yourself. These gauges are not of professional quality but may get you by if you need a backup set or if you do HVAC repairs for a living. The case is low-quality, and the pieces tend to fall out easily. As far as functionally, though, they work as advertised, so I can’t complain there. The kit comes with an instruction manual that can help with the uninitiated; however, I would recommend looking up specifics for your HVAC system. Most are the same, but it helps to be familiar with your setup before connecting the hoses. Overall, not bad, but not great either.

I got this to recharge my old Datsun and a couple other cars. This has been perfect and a definite upgrade to the kit I got from the local automotive shop. It has everything you need to add refrigerant to your car. In a pinch it's good for a backup pair from some basic hvac, but I would recommend more professional gauges if you're going to use it more often. For now, it's good for my cars and I can let friends borrow it too.

I have a number of tools/equipment made by Orion Motor Tech (OMT), including vehicle AC maintenance products, and they have consistently been excellent quality items and at reasonable prices. As a DIYer, I particularly appreciate the necessity of having the right tools and equipment to do things efficiently and correctly, but not at the cost of having to go without food to be able to buy them, lol.The hoses, the 3-way manifold gauge, the can-taps and the quick couplers are all nicely made, sturdy-feeling components. Aside from what I see as one inconsequential item, nothing about the set feels, looks or functions in a cheaply or poorly made fashion. What is that one item? That would be the small, reversible Phillips/flathead screwdriver, which I really don’t know why they bother to include in the first place – most folks undertaking this level of work on a vehicle are surely going to have screwdrivers if needed, and of a better quality than the somewhat disposable one included in the set. Regardless, everything in the set, minus that screwdriver, is made well, and it all stores conveniently in the plastic case, so everything stays organized. Just a heads-up that my manifold gauge faces came with a clear protective film on them, so if you order this set, keep an eye out for the film as you may need to remove it.Overall this is a nice, functional set, and it’s currently priced reasonably at about $67.50. At that price, I see this as a good value, and as a five-star set.
