Received and worked well. Used just once.Seems to be acceptable quality but not for a professional who uses it often.I suspect the can taps will fail before 50 uses.Hopefully I will never need this 50x times though.I also am gentle on the Orings by not over tightening since I suspect they are not Snap On quality.

I’ve been using little single gauge-on-the-can deals to top off AC systems for years, back when R-12 refrigerants was used for all automobiles. I finally decided get real AC manifold gauge set and did not have to look farther than this OMT set. All appears high quality build….hoses, the case, the valves, and connectors seem to work well and nothing leaks when properly assembled. The only issue is it's a bit difficult to fit everything back in the case. My first big project was the installation of a mini-split unit in my garage. I borrowed my son’s vacuum pump and used the OMT set to charge my mini-split. Worked great. All in all, I'm very pleased thus far. I’m sure I’ll need to use this during upcoming summers to top off the older car’s AC system.

I’m giving the Orion Motor Tech AC Gauges, 4 Way Manifold Gauge Set a 5 out of 5 stars because of its excellent value and wide compatibility. This kit is a great investment for anyone who works with automotive AC systems or needs to recharge, evacuate, or recover refrigerants in their car.The build quality of this gauge set is impressive. The hoses are color-coded and reinforced, ensuring durability and easy identification during use. The copper fittings provide solid connections, and the aluminum body of the manifold gauge set means I don’t have to worry about rusting like with some cheaper models. Plus, the rubber casing adds an extra layer of protection, which is a nice touch for anyone who is rough on their tools. One of the standout features is its wide compatibility. This set works with the most common refrigerants like R1234yf, R134a, and R404a, and it can be used with both vacuum pumps and recovery machines, which adds great versatility. Additionally, the kit includes a color instruction manual that makes setup and usage easier, especially if you’re not entirely familiar with the process. It also comes with extra O-rings, which is always appreciated. The only minor downside is the tight-fitting case. It’s a bit of a puzzle to figure out where each piece goes, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not a major issue.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this set. It offers great value, works reliably with various refrigerants, and my other OMT tools are still going strong, which speaks to the brand’s quality. Highly recommended!

I have a number of tools made by these folks – Orion Motor Tech (aka “OMT Tools”) – and across the board they have all been affordable and of a good quality, particularly for a DIY’er like myself. I do occasionally work on car AC systems – so far exclusively R134a based systems, and obviously you need hoses, fittings, a manifold gauge, and sometimes a vacuum pump as well, all of which I currently have, but I did want to check out this 4-way manifold gauge system, which is a little more sophisticated than some of my other 3-way manifold gauges. This kit basically has all the necessities for working on older and more modern car AC systems – the manifold gauge, fittings/connectors, and four, five-foot hoses, all of which is easy to store in the included plastic hard-side case. As I’ve come to expect from these guys, the overall quality of the components is above average. The low and high side gauges are shrouded in something of a rectangular protective case and I find them easy enough to read, and the hoses all connect without any problems. The hoses are slightly different than my others in that on each hose there is a plastic fitting in the shape of a wingnut that you can slide from one end to the other, and it gives you little more leverage when tightening/loosening the hoses. The hoses have nicely knurled ends for an easy grip even with oily hands, and at first I did not think I was going to be a fan of those plastic wingnuts. That said, I am warming up to them, and actually, I now think I like having them on there, as opposed to not having the option at all.I will say that the valves on the manifold gauge function smoothly. The valve knobs appear to be made of aluminum and they have a quality feel to them as well. On the backside of the manifold gauge is a stowable hook that can be used for hanging the gauge during use, and then folded back out of the way when you place the gauge back in the plastic case.As I mentioned, there are included accessories, all of which are of a good, solid quality, except for the included reversible screwdriver. I really don’t know why they find it necessary to include it in the kit. If you are already working on AC systems, I’m pretty sure you have screwdrivers, lol. The can-taps and quick couplers are nicely done (note that the can taps are for self-sealing cans), and the included valve core tool is nice as well. The product listing for the kit, and the illustrations in the listing are thorough and I appreciate that they make it very easy for a prospective customer to see and understand exactly what they are getting in the set.My bottom line here is that this is another solid, affordable product made my OMT and I feel the current price of about $75 is reasonable.

Arrives in a plain brown box.Inside is the blue case which is just built okay. The case hinge is plastic but the plastic latches do have a metal (instead of plastic) rod that's held on by the case. This case does have a sticker that shows the brand name and what is inside.Inside, you can tell who ever placed everything didn't do it that well. Some pieces were turned the wrong way or just not placed in its correct spot. It is pretty cramped in the case, so you don't have much wiggle room to put stuff out of place. Also included are some thin white gloves that seems to be a common trend.Majority of adapters are labeled and if they are not then they are the r134a connection. This is pretty much an all in one kit if you have vehicles that use r134a and 1234yf.The quality seems to be decent, there are scratches in random areas and some pieces are not smooth/polished but that's more for looks. Hoses look to be standard quality. There is a slim manual if you need it.This is one of the name brands of the 3rd party world (not mainstream), so I would expect this to be good enough for DIY use vs something that may just break apart or not work right.
