I had paver ants under my paving stones in my back yard for the last 5 years, nothing worked. One application of this and they are gone. I had 50 ant hills on any given day, now, 3 months later, not one. AMAZING. This was the best pest purchase I have ever bought in my life. A pest control company suggested it when they could not come out to assist me with my ant issues. I thank them every day, I thank Ortho every day. AMAZING.

This stuff works great. The bottle didn't leak like many others I've used. I wish that I bought a bigger bottle but this did the job for the small area in the backyard that had a lot of fleas which were being carried inside. The size of the bottle was perfect for half of my backyard. The spray isn't too noisy and it's easy to clean up after. The bottle isn't made of a cheap flimsy plastic. It's a durable plastic that you don't have to worry about leaking out or puncturing the plastic

The best of bug killers that hook up to a hose; like the other ortho products, it works very well. If you have a big lawn w ficus / privacy trees it’s hard to reach everything with the usual ortho spray with the wand - this solves that. Highly recommend. Only wish was the bottle was bigger.

EDIT:I gave this product only 2 stars originally. But after doing research and following recommendation I managed to resolve my backyard flea problem with this product. The problem with fleas is that they sort of "hibernate" in hard shell cocoons. And its impossible to create a chemical product which is safe (non-toxic) and kills fleas in all stages: larvae, cocoon, adult. If you make such product, it would be highly toxic for humans too. With my overly simplistic approach I sprayed 3 times, but I just did nothing in between these spraying sessions. Teenage fleas hide in impenetrable cocoons and can stay there for months. They get out of their cocoons when there is a potential meal walking nearby. So I decided to combine the poison with luring the fleas out of their cocoons. I walked around the backyard, stomping and slightly jumping to cause surface vibration. Then I sprayed the yard. Now, after couple of such sessions the fleas are finally and completely gone.Summary. This poison is just a good tool. But you also need to know how to use it correctly.ORIGINAL:I have a tiny backyard closed with a fence. A few stray cats visited and left some guerrilla combatants in a form of fleas. I made sure that cats couldn't trespass anymore and decided to use this product to kill fleas. I sprayed once. No result, same amount of fleas. Sprayed second time after a week. Less fleas, but still a lot. Waited another week and sprayed the third time. Three days past, there are much less fleas, but I still caught 3 fleas jumping on me. And even a single flee is too much. I must be zero. This product definitely doesn't work. Remind you, there are no more cats.

Arrived on time in good condition but bottle is surprisingly only half-filled.The granules seem to work most of the time but seem to loose their effectiveness after month or so, contrary to the labeling. I basically use a whole bottle for 1 application around our 2,000 Sq Ft home which has a roughly 30 x 100 foot perimeter - that's under 3o0 linear feet, laying a path about 6 inches wide.As with all such products, rain will either wash them away or reduce their effectiveness by washing out the poisons (only guessing here). We use the granules in conjunction with the sprayed versions of the same product due the sturdy and prevalent carpenter ants that attack our home relentlessly throughout the year (except winter). The granules seem to last through a couple of lighter rains before flushed away. Our application technique is to ONLY lay down granules when:(1) ants are present(2) rains are not expected for a week or more. This allows the ants to carry the find and carry granules back to their nests. At the same time, we also liberally spray around the entire perimeter of our home with the spray version of the product. We spray:(1) Under lower edge of lowest clapboards (where carpenter ants enter to feast on our home)(2) all along the ground where the foundation meets the earth(3) around the lower edges of all lower windows, doors, etc. It's a never ending battle but we seem to stop them with these products - or perhaps they've all retired, frolicking in nests throughout our home! Since they are plentiful before application and completely absent in the next 2 weeks, we suspect the treatments are working.Complaint #1:Our major complaint is how empty the bottle is. It feels and looks 1/2 or less full. Perhaps they sell by weight, the granules are heavy, and they used a standardized bottle size resulting in the appearance of it being short. I'll weigh the next bottle to ensure it's as labelled.Complaint #2:Our other complaint is that for the price, you really only get *one* effective application. For $19 that's an expensive application. By contrast, the spray bottles provide us with at least about 1.5-2.0 applications for less money. So, they go a bit longer and cost a bit less.We buy both formats of product to create an offense on 2 fronts to maximize effectiveness. We'll sometimes use a 3rd different product form a different company with different active ingredients increase the modes of attack. In our exurban location west of Boston with lots of trees around, we have to treat our house about 4 times per summer.
