The big finger grip and shorter construction makes movement and placement of the headshell easy and visible. The wire terminals on the rear side are also gold plated for better signal transmission.

Ortofon head shell is a quality product with an oversized finger lift which is an excellent feature and why it is my preferred this head shell style.The supplier “Natural Sound” was quick to ship and lived up to time frames quoted. Not my first time using this supplier and have always been happy with their service both thru Amazon or directly.

I matched my Ortofon cadenza MC cartridge to this head shell, it allowed me to mount my cartridge to this head shell with fewer issues, vs the my Technics SL-1200-G turntable head shell. Sonically it’s about the same, it may be superior only time will tell. Build quality is better, and visually it’s a perfect match. BTW, this head shell weighs in at 8 grams, the same as the OEM cartridge that is supplied with my turntable. Great price for this beautiful head shell.

Fairly standard headshell - nice to have some color here & there as a bonus. Have used a few of these with Ortifon, Denon, and Nagaoka cartridges. Machined well and color is consistent. No issues with mounting or azimuth adjustment. Would land this as a mid-grade unit - good match for higher compliance MM carts. You'll need to research and pay more for extra light or heavy if that's what you're after.
