One application of this granular plant fertilizer contains 11 essential nutrients and feeds live plants up to 6 full months. Osmocote® Smart-Release® Plant Food Plus Outdoor & Indoor₁ works with virtually all plant varieties and growing conditions. Each granule is coated with a unique resin that controls nutritional release. Both indoor and outdoor plants get what they need when they need it. To use, sprinkle 1 scoopful (3 tablespoons) of plant food per 2 gal. pot or 4 sq. ft. Mix into the top 1 to 3 inches of soil and then water regularly. Reapply every 6 months for best results. Use ½ of the outdoor rate when applying to indoor plants. Osmocote® offers a no-burn pledge, when used as directed. Osmocote is probably the best catch all fertilizer I’ve used for my ornamental plants. The fact that they sell it in 50lb bags shows how much it’s used professionally. It's almost impossible to burn plants with by overfertilizing, it last 4-6 months so you can't forget to fertilize. it's honestly just the best bang for your buck for average plants.

Just prepped all my gardening tubs for spring planting and you can bet they all got some Osmocote. Love this stuff. Super easy & safe to handle, measure, apply and it’s very versatile as well. I grow both flowers & vegetables and it works great. Highly recommend.

I only use this when planting new things. It definitely makes a difference in the results and is definitely worth the extra money! Super easy to use. Just spread a little in newly dug hole and go!

I have been using this for many, many years. I have beautiful plants, which gets fertilized Spring and Fall. I would not even think of using anything else.
