Been using it every day since purchase and it's held up. A working controller is all I asked for, and I got it. Buttons seem as sensitive as original DDR pad and the hit box is accurate to the printed pattern.

A few short and sweet points to whom it may concern:- As title suggests, it may be non-slip when you're on it but it sure as hell will cha-cha slide so usability is limited if you're doing harder songs on it- They sacrificed most of the usability to make it portable which means the mat crinkles, crumples and sticks to your feet; they would've been better off making a harder mat that's not as foldable but more usable- You can't use this with a chair or any 'back-bar' like in the arcades for balance and not screwing up your back during long periods of play because, as aforementioned, it crinkles and crumples and also slides- Huge sensitivity issues as the coverage of the sensors on everything is on a foldable, crinkled mat so it's very inconsistentIf you're looking to get into rhythm games, this might be good but just remember you can't play anything hard on this without getting annoyed at the arrow sensitivity or sliding around as you play so it screws up your game. For kids and casuals it might be okay but I don't even see this lasting very long - I feel like I bought this at Goodwill and possibly overpaid. If you're an old-school rhythm gamer that is getting back into it, you might be better off considering an LTEK or a soft pad from anywhere not Amazon because I might just use this as cigarette rolling paper it's so flimsy.Good luck, steppers.

Unplayable. The pad doesn't properly register more than 2 buttons at a time. Even if you only intend to hit two buttons at a time, unless you are perfect, you will sometimes be stepping on one of the corner (X, O, Triangle, Square) button a little bit, and this will often cause the arrow you are stepping on to not register.I reproduced this problem using both PC (Windows 11 Intel) and MacOS M3 Sonoma (which isn't officially supported), and in multiple applications on each, so I know it is not a specific problem with one app or OS.

The pad functions just fine. You will have to adjust your own timing for when you go for a specific button since it is a softer pad. Take your time and practice on easier songs before adjusting yourself to harder ones.

If you’re relatively new to stepmania and DDR, this is perfect. It plugs in via usb and just works. It’s perfect for learning how to play stepmania. It’s not the most sturdy thing ever though. Happy to say though it’s spill proof!

It is somehow more cheaply made than the ones i used to own about 12 years ago. I purchased this in an attempt to get some more cardio in my life while i work a desk job at home. The pad worked perfectly for the first 2 days, was using it with the program "Stepmania"The only complaint i had at first was how soft the pad was and how easily it would ball up under you. But this was expected knowing the pad did not come with foam inserts, i had pre-purchased some velcro strips to put on the bottom, which solved the problem. Then on day 2 the back button started to rapidly fire inputs when held down making it impossible to complete songs requiring you to hold the back button down. Now on day 3 the back button and select button have completely stopped functioning. The pad has not even been moved since i opened it from the package and used it the first time, as i set up a dedicated monitor for it and velcroed it to the floor.I would have to suggest you steer away from this product and try to save to get an L-Tek pad shipped (which is very expensive if you live in the US, as the pad comes from Poland).

I remember loving DDR on my PS2 and playing on a similar mat like this and wanted to get back into it! The product came very quickly and was very easy to install. A CD and instructions came with the mat, but like most people my computer doesn't have a CD drive. However finding the installation file is very easy via google. It's also very easy to install new songs made by the community, so you don't have to get sick of the music! Mat so far has been accurate, I'll update if anything happens, but I am very happy with my purchase as of now!

Pros:- Price. Honestly the only thing going for it.Cons:- The mat is very slick on both sides, and mine did not come with anti-slick pads like described, so on any surface, it would slide like crazy. Luckily, I had some pads I could use, but they weren't ideal.- After a few sessions, the sensors for the arrows have moved around quite a bit, with the down arrow to the point of me missing notes even if I'm stepping directly in the middle of the down icon.- The usb cord itself is pretty cheap and relatively short, so it is very easy for it to unplug itself.- Durability is poor. Even after a few sessions, I have noticed very slight tears in the top mat covering.I have been using the same PS2 DDR mat for years, and comparing this mat to the official ones, it is just a complete downgrade. I'd only recommend this product if you're a complete beginner and only stick to beginner songs, as once you start doing more complex movements and songs, this mat does not do well. You really get what you pay for, so I'd recommend spending a little more for something better made.

It works great. It's responsive. You have to download stepmania and configure the keys on the options menu. You'll need to use your keyboard at first to do so. As of March 2021, the Stepmania software does not support Mac users. The latest Mac updates doesn't run well with Stepmania. I'm using it on windows and it runs well.
