I got this as a gift for someone who wanted to try Korean green tea / matcha tea. This is the perfect gift because it looks fancy, and it is a high quality tea!It’s definitely for those who drink green tea (with water) and not for those who want lattes (with milk).

The OSULLOC Premium Organic Matcha Powder is fantastic! I love that it's USDA-certified organic, which gives me confidence in its quality. The matcha is smooth, with a rich, deep flavor that doesn't taste bitter at all. It's unsweetened, which is perfect because I can adjust the sweetness to my liking or leave it pure for traditional matcha tea. The taste is extremely bitter and the matcha doesn’t even blend well into water/milk creating a gritty taste. It’s hard to taste any essence of matcha beyond the overpowering bitterness and gritty texture. The color itself is barely green and more a heavy swampy brown that makes it look like I’m not even drink matcha. Beyond this, I received this with the nozzle covered in matcha powder. I had to spend a while to get it clean especially since the powder outside the bottle that had spilled all over my desk upon opening it. Would not recommend considering this for purchase as it’s not worth the price.

Before I write this review, I’d like to clarify that my standards for matcha are above standard. My criteria for matcha is (1) the strength, (2) the value for how much it costs, and bonus (2.5) the unique bottle it comes with.(1) Strength.This matcha is very weak. For reference, usually 1-2 scoops of decent quality matcha is good enough for me. However, I used 6 scoops of matcha and it was still not close to the level of matcha that’s enjoyable. In addition, the matcha was very grainy and it felt like protein powder. Having tried matcha at Jeju before, I know the unique signature of the slight volcanic taste, and it does have it. Overall, the matcha was extremely disappointing and as an above average matcha enjoyer, I would not buy this matcha again. However, I am considering the matcha that costs double the price.(2) ValueI think my description for the matcha is enough to say that it is not worth its value. However, I am willing to pay more money for higher quality matcha, which is why I’m still hopeful for the $32 variant.(3) MiscellaneousOriginally, I thought the matcha bottle it came with was pretty cool because maybe I wouldn’t go through the hassle of scooping matcha but the matcha doesn’t even come out well from the bottle, so I had to scoop it out anyway. Wasn’t a big deal though, because I was used to getting matcha on my hands from matcha companies that package in those tall skinny bags. Also very disappointed that I couldn’t return the product, but I guess that’s my fault for not checking first.

If you want to try real pure taste of green tea powder, I do recommend this brand- which is very famous in Korea .Not only make a hot green tea but also can be used for making green tea latte , green tea ice cream even more dessert .Only one star I took out is that because the packing and price .You get what you pay forThat means you won’t disappointed by the quality of this one, but again.. still it is kind of pricy.

Having been to South Korea. I’ve missed these teas 🍵 so bad. They have Osulloc Cafe everywhere in S. Korea. They were giving samples of their Matcha 🍵 latte with steamed milk and sugar. It was so delicious. Easy to make at home. I just wish that they would offer all their products like they sell there. Their face products green tea face wash was my family favorite product as well. Their green tea filled dark chocolate bar is omo lol sooooooo delicious. These products are of high quality. Green tea is nothing compared to green tea here it is not bitter and gross. Both the reg and premium are just as delicious. Wedding ( taste like wine to me lol?) green tea and tangerine green tea🍊 teas are my favorite teas. Jeju grown fresh tea
