This little box lets you watch youtube and Netflix on your factory car play screen. It works pretty well so far and as a nice bonus it does this wirelessly so I don't have to plug in my phone anymore. It immediately connects as soon as I get into the car which is nice as well.

Nice link unit, good quality and small portability makes it ideal. The interface can be a bit confusing but once you get it setup it's pretty intuitive. The one thing many people don't get is that yes you can watch YouTube or online with this but your car must have its own internet or have a Hotspot active. Without either of those you'll only get the other functions but no social media. Works well enough as is for me in my Honda so I have no complaints at all.

I was tired of dealing with cables every time I got in my car, so I decided to try the OTTOCAST Play2Video Pro, and I’m so glad I did! Setup was super easy—just plug it in and pair with my phone, and now it connects automatically within seconds every time I start my car. The wireless CarPlay works flawlessly, with no lag or dropouts, and I love that it also supports Android Auto, so my family can use it too.The game-changer for me was being able to watch Netflix and YouTube while parked. It’s perfect for waiting in my car during breaks. The 5GHz WiFi keeps everything smooth, and streaming music on Spotify has been crystal clear with no buffering. It also supports TF cards for extra media, which is a great bonus.I’ve used this for over a month, through both hot and cold temperatures, and it has never overheated or disconnected. No need for expensive dealership upgrades—this little device transformed my car’s infotainment system at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend!

Works to run Android Auto in cars that only have Carplay. Works wirelessly and does not keep trying to connect to your phone when the car is off. Starts right up and configures for your screen size. Miracle device.

I have been using wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for a couple years now. Many did not work very smoothly, losing connectivity here and there. I finally did find a decent one that could do both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay by simply flipping a switch. When Ottocast came out with one, I was excited to see how it would compare. The Ottocast allows you to play back Netflix and YouTube by using your phone's WiFi hotspot. However, keep in mind that doing so will also disable Android Auto/CarPlay because that system also uses WiFi. So, it is an either/or proposition.Android screen launches upon turning on the car, then loads to the main screen where Netflix, YouTube, and YouTube Music are prominently displayed. You can then push the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay button to pair to your phone via Bluetooth, then WiFi takes over. What I noticed about Ottocast's Google Maps performance was that it is a bit laggy compared to the other product I had been using. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it was still laggy. Customer Support asked to provide a video -- I showed one of the laggy Ottocast and one of the other product. Support then said to perform a full factory reset and update with the latest OS image -- I refused to do so as it requires installing software, drivers, etc. that is beyond the comprehension and ability of the average consumer.Support then said to ship the product back to them and wait for a replacement to be mailed. It was easier for me to just order a replacement through Amazon.Once I got the replacement, again, Google Maps performance was laggy. I updated the firmware again. Same issue.I told Support that the issue is with the product and not the firmware. I had high hopes for the Ottocast -- it works, but its performance makes it less fun to use than the other product I had been using.By the way, YouTube videos are cut off on the left side by the navigation menu, as shown in one of my pictures.
