Low security but functional for dog walkers n maybe for yourself as a backup holder for extra set of keys. Wouldn’t use this for something super important. Not all metal, plastic, which could technically be more easily broken into. I find these number locks frustrating to operate as well. The one plus is that there is plenty of room for a big set of keys.

It's plastic with what appears to be pretty brittle inner workings. Does it do the job of putting a key temporarily someplace for someone else to use? Yes. Do I believe in the ability of this to resist a strong effort to get inside of it? No. It's very lightweight. If you're going to leave unmarked keys attached to a railing at a condo complex, that's fine. No one will know who's key it is even if they DO decide to give a good whack with a hammer. If you're going to leave this on your own railing by the back door of your private home as a permanent spare key solution? I'd pass.

Got this lock box a few weeks back, and it’s been solid. It’s made of plastic, but feels sturdy enough for basic use. Not sure I'd trust it for high-security needs, but for keeping spare keys accessible to friends and family, it’s great. Overall, worth the price if you need a simple, convenient lock box.

Okay lock box. Bigger than I expected. I needed it just for a single key, but the larger size could be useful for a larger key fob, a small garage door remote, or multiple small items.Comes with hardware to attach to wood or drywall, as well as a shackle to lock around an appropriate fixed object. I chose to use the shackle, at least for now. Installing and removing the shackle is sort of awkward and slightly difficult at first. Difficult enough that I initially thought it was going to be unusable because I didn't want to shackle it to something and then not be able to remove it from that location. Once you figure out how to finesse it, though, you'll then be able to install and remove the shackle consistently with little trouble.Setting a code is very easy, and opening the lock box is easy with the correct code. Performance in that regard is quite good.Sort of a dumb design overall, though. If you use the shackle, like in the case you install it on a fence or railing, the holes on the back of the box can (and likely will) be exposed to the elements. Amazingly, there is no cover for those holes. Likewise, if you screw the box to a wall or post the shackle holes on top of the box can (and likely will) be exposed to the elements. In either case, moisture, dirt, and insects can easily get into the box. Shaking my head at this since the manufacturer should have anticipated at least some of their users installing this outside. The box appears to be made out of a relatively sturdy plastic. Definitely appears to be hackable / penetrable / breakable. I would definitely NOT put this in a high visibility location containing a high value object, like a key to a residence right next to the front door of that residence. I'm willing to use this, but only in a concealed location.

Ok, so I've NEVER gave this bad of a review -- however:THIS IS MADE OF PLASTIC!The only items that are metal (aka Zinc or Aluminum Alloy - the ad states both - and these items are not the same metal) are the hinge and front cover holding the combo lock. The backing/mounting plate and sides are all simple plastic. My pocket knife was able to start cutting and making a hole into this. If someone carried a battery drill, your keys/valuables are gone! Even a simple hammer will break this open and/or break it off the wall.If you just need a place to simply hold keys for relatives, kids, etc., this will work - if it is behind a locked gate or something else to keep out those thieves who really need a simple home/business/BNB, to get into.I was so socked when this said it was metal (other than the outer side shells), and this also took 2 months to arrive! The U-Bolt does go into a simple metal plate, but if you use a long screwdriver, you can pry against the housing and break through the plastic - again, allowing any contents inside to be accessed.I also see that the advertisement was also all updated stating what I have above as well. The price is now only $13USD, so, yes, you get what you pay for and this is just a simple hold-me box that works well for what it does. I also love the video that was added - it sounds like these are being 3D Printed in the background, not to mention the one photo where this item is simply hanging on a door handle?(I've up'd my 1-STAR to 2-STARs since the add has been updated since I made my order back in April 2024 (today is June 3rd). Reason? This new advertisement explains that this is basically a novelty item and should not be used as an actual security device.)

Combination key lock box is easily set and placed on doorknobs. Or can be mounted to structure for easy access. Easy to set new password and change easily.
