When my grandbabies come over and the weather is nice, we love to head out to the backyard and watch movies using the projector. Initially, I projected movies onto the brick wall of my house, which worked okay, but using this Outdoor Projector Screen made a huge difference. The image is much clearer and smoother compared to the rough, bumpy brick surface. I had previously tried using a cloth, which was better than the wall but a hassle to set up. This Outdoor Projector Screen solves that problem it's easy to set up, and I can quickly pack it away when not in use. Plus, it came with all the necessary pieces, so I didn't need to buy anything extra.

I needed a big screen that would be easy to transport as well as set up for a big family celebration in a hotel banquet room. It needed to be big enough so that the 60 guests in attendance, sitting at a half dozen tables, all had a good view of the video slideshow. This 150” diagonal VOOPVOR screen met both those conditions. Carrying the entire package was easy, fitting nicely in a 36” long carrying bag and very lightweight. The room itself had tinted windows on two sides and there was some warm lighting as well that we left on, yet the projected image was just fine. Obviously, the projector itself has a lot to do with how bright the screen image appears, but the thickness of the projector screen was adequate to reflect the video despite the ambient lighting. The top crossbar (4 pieces) did develop just a slight sag. The one thing about the screen that I didn’t care for was, despite my best efforts I couldn’t completely remove every single ripple. I think part of the problem is that the 6 velcro straps on each side can only do so much regarding tautness. So there’s some finagling that you need to do to minimize the ripples. Even still, the projected image seemed okay. There may have been some slight wrinkles due to it being folded up, but they weren’t that noticeable once the video began.I wasn’t able to test out its rear projection capabilities, as the screen was set up just in front of one of the walls. The stands are quick to set up, but the one thing I found a bit awkward was actually trying to slip the crossbar through the length of the screen, and then to setting it onto the top of the two supports without letting the screen touch the ground. I know it says it is washable, but I didn’t want the white screen to pick up any dust/dirt that may have existed on the floor as I set it up. Even the instruction manual warns about getting the screen dirty by letting it hit the ground. So with something this big, I found it’s much easier to have two people at the ends and one in the middle to support the screen from hitting the ground, I’ll tell you what. Hopefully I will refine my process after using it a few more times.Including the spread of the legs, you’ll need about 11-1/2 feet across for it to sit. The legs themselves require about 19" spread from the center post. Plus, if you’re planning on using it outdoors, even more room for the ground stakes and support ropes will be required.

I got this to occasionally use in our house when we want to have the full movie experience! I have been researching screens, and the best ones have a high reflective index. This screen is actually somewhat see thru! (You probably could even rear project and still get a good image.) This opaqueness means a lot of the projected light actually ends up going right through the screen and does not reflect back at the viewer. As far as the stand goes, it is very easy to set up, it has two tripods which telescope up, and four pole pieces that fit together and thread through the hem of the screen. It then simply is held up by two wing-nuts on the top of the pole. The screen then Velcros down the sides. It has ropes to tie down. It probably would not work well if it was windy, but really no screen does well in the wind.

Originally I was going to get just a large screen to hang on the back of the house to watch movies from the hot tub, but this makes my life a lot easier. I was worried about putting holes in the house, no longer and issue. The screen reflects colors very well and looks like a pro screen. Took maybe 10 minutes to assemble the first time, but shouldnt take much time at all anymore.
