Very light foam material, wind blows it away. You need to place it on top of flat surface to get proper alignment.

My buddies have foam rifle rests and they are all a bit larger. It still works, just a little smaller than I expected. It is sturdy and well made and comes with a little drawstring bag to carry it in. Good overall.

This rectangular foam block is dense and sturdy. Two "valleys" are notched to give you a range of height for the firearm and to accommodate the shape of the gun.

I wanted to have one of these handy because they are light so no added hiking weight. It's fine but doesn't really play well with big power weapons like 300WinMag. Still, it has a useful place.

This does the job for which it was intended. The block has two notches for stabilizing firearms. It works especially well for sighting in optics. Although it does the job, it’s still a $12 block of styrofoam, so perhaps a bit pricey.
