Ok, I looked at several and almost didn't get this one because it didn't have free shipping BUT I'm very happy with it. There were a few little issues that weren't a big deal to me, but may be an issue for others. Here are the pros: 1. The box was light enough for me to pick up and carry (52 y/o female and not super strong). 2. It was packed well and all the screw types were in their own sealed and labeled bags making it easier to grab the correct one. 3. I was able to put it together on my own, even if the first step is a little tricky without an extra set of hands. It took me less than an hour to put together. 4. It looks super cute and it is light enough to move around seasonally if necessary.Cons: 1. Most of the stickers on the parts had fallen off, and there is some styrofoam residue stuck to some pieces. Easy enough to figure out where things went, and a little scraping removed the residue. 2. Missing 8 screws, but had some extras from another project that worked just fine. 3. Some reviewers talked about the lack of predrilled holes. The top pieces are all predrilled, and the wood is soft enough for the screws to attach without an issue. However, it does make some attachments tricky because you have to line things up without a clear guide where the point of the screw should go. Again, not a major issue for anyone with a little confidence and a willingness to take a minute to figure it out. If you have even a cursory knowledge of working with wood, it isn't a big deal. 4. Not a major one, but the drawer is designed to be taken in and out, not meant to slide open and stay in the slot like a true drawer (see pic). Again, not a real issue for me, but just so you know.Advice: Use a drill. Pay attention to the call outs on the directions. (See pic) This is where I ended up having to redo some steps. Also, the spacing on step 5 needed to be redone at the end so it looked right. Not a big deal. Take your time on each step. This is the only thing that kept it from being a completely smooth process for me.

I like the appearance and functionality of this potting bench. I got it assembled in February before the spring. There is a decent amount of storage space. The directions were fairly clear for assembly and the bags had pieces of paper for each type of screw. I did receive this in October and it has been on our covered patio since until I assembled it. Some of the stickers fell off the wood panels and the Styrofoam had stuck to others. But that is likely my fault for not gettingit assembled for so long. The only thing not included in the directions is that you will need a Phillips screwdriver and 10mm socket or wrench. After it is assembled it is quite sturdy but still light enough to move around.I am likely going to apply a waterproofing finish just for added protection until I get a greenhouse built.

I have been invited by Amazon to take part in the Amazon Vine program & I take that very seriously.I order products I am interested in, try them out and give my honest review on that product.I am not paid in any way by Amazon or the sellers for my reviews.Since I am an Amazon customer as well, I provide as much detail as possible for other customers in order to help make an informed decision on the products. I do not recommend products I myself wouldn't use. This potting bench came across my Amazon Vine feed so I ordered it.I know I won't be using it this year. It's almost winter and it's cold so no outside activities that involve plants. When I saw this online, it was everything I needed and wanted. When it arrived & I was able to see it in person, I am even more excited. The drawer is going to come in handy. I use chunky soil that I mix myself for most of my plants. I mix my own rather than buy premade because it saves me money. I use quality soil, orchid bark, charcoal, perlite & coco coir. Sometimes I'll add in vermiculite and/or Leca. It's nice to have a place to mix it up and have readily available during spring & summer when I repot my plants. The shelves can hold my planters, fertilizer, substrate & other items I may need. I like the amount of space it offers me on the counter. Some of the plants I repot are larger so I'll need the space to work.I also love the hooks to hold my gardening tools such as forks, scissors, shovels, rakes or clippers. The wood is sealed, however, I will not be using it in the direct elements. I live in Jersey so our summers are hot and winters are cold. We get a lot of rain throughout the year which takes it's toll on anything outside. I will be putting a coat of marine poly on the wood just to be sure I have full protection. I may even resin the wood to protect it even more.I will also keep it in a little greenhouse that I received also via the Amazon vine program so it's not exposed to direct elements.I have a vegetable garden with brick pavers for the walkways. I will most likely keep this potting bench on the brick so as to extend the life of the metal frame.I think with the proper prep & care, this bench can last for years to come. It's made well and serves as a great addition to your gardening/planting needs.I can finally repot my plants and not have to worry about getting the substrate all over. The bench is tall enough so I don't have to bend over too which I appreciate. This bench is well made and I'm so excited that it came across my vine feed.I definitely recommend.Deserves more than 5 stars.
