Machined way off. Sent back to seller. Next one was also way off. Took this rail to a gun store, and tried it on the exact same action. Still way off. Then tried a Leupold on the stores rifle. Fit perfectly. Seller’s quality control is horrible. Amazon refunded my money.

Installed and dialed 5.8 Mils and bore sight looked dead on. Took it to the range and confirmed it was very close. Maybe 3 inches off the bore sight at 50 yards. Very accurate 20 MOA angle for sure. The scope and rings I bought were pretty nice so everything came together with ease. Building a .223 trainer for nieces and will buy this again for the Howa mini.

If you are having issues finding the right size allen wrench, well that is because THEY ARE NOT ALLEN SCREWS, THEY ARE TORX (STAR bit as some call it). I see a lot of people complaining about the screws but if you just read the description it says its a T10 Torx. I found installation instructions on their website and you tighten them to 20in lbs. (USE A INCH LB TORQUE WRENCH, NOT FT LB) Other than that, mount looks good and feels nice. Great finish and seems really sturdy. Good buy and great price.

I have purchased several of these Outer Impact Rails,most for Howa 1500 Short Action Rifles. They have all worked as expected,no issues! I think it’s a great product at a fair price! I would recommend them based on my experience. I use them on my hunting rifles as well as my long Range Precision Rifles.

Nice piece! Remember though: the thicker end is to be installed towards the breach so that your scope will canted downwards. This is for longer range shooting and you want your scope looking downward to compensate for the bullet drop at distance...so you have more elevation adjustment. I have the Nikon Prostaff 7 4-16x42 scope mounted to it with Weaver six screw rings. I'd recommend it.
