I measured the door thickness before I ordered this, Per the side quide. It did not fit. I can not return it because I tried to make it work.

This is great for traveling when I'm in places with no closet or bar. I can hang this on the door now and extend to hold my clothes. I love that it folds up so compact and fits neatly in my suitcase. Holds a decent amount of weight without bending. Overall, I'm really happy with this and it suits my needs for what I wanted it for.

This is a Vine review on a product that I received in exchange for my honest evaluation. The apartment that we moved into in February did not have an adequate space for a dryer, so we have been finding alternative ways to dry clothes. My wife asked me to watch Vine for exactly this type of product, so the timing was perfect. This is made of thick metal and feels "substantial" as opposed to a cheaper version that we have that feels "flimsy" This gives the expectation that it is high quality by its look and feel. The hanging rod is 7 inches long and has 6 slots for hangers. They are spaced far enough apart that we can dry 3 shirts at a time using this as opposed to 2 shirts on a similar product.Hanging open on the door it is over 6 feet from the ground as I am 6 feet tall, and I can walk under it.There are cheaper alternatives to this product, but they are not even close in quality. If you have no issues with the price of this product, I recommend that you consider buying it before any of the other options available.

I am one who hangs up almost all of my clothing items immediately after I have washed them and dried them on a low setting, which I find preserves clothes longer (and more or less keeps them wrinkle-free too). This metal clothes rack is exactly what I was looking for, and it's currently hanging up on a door in our laundry room, where I can now hang my damp clothes to air dry. I like that this one extends if needed, and I especially like that it folds up and is out of the way when not in use. The fact that it doesn't have to be installed but rather just hangs over the top of your door makes it easy to move to other locations. When I travel, I plan to take this rack with me because I know I'll find many uses for it when staying away from home.

What an easy way to add a mini closet where there isn't one. I added this to my laundry area and made that chore a bit easier. This hanger is made from thick metal that has a smooth shiny coating on it. It's very sturdy. It fit perfectly on my door that is 1 - 3/4" inches thick with no room to spare. It does have a tendency to rock or move a little. I'll be adding a little padding to the parts that touch the door to ensure it doesn't create wear marks. So simple and very efficient.

This is a good hanger that could be great with one or two modifications. This solved a problem I was having for dealing with wrinkle free dress shirts. When I was pulling wrinkle free shirts from the drier I did not have a spot for the shirts to hang in the laundry room. So it was either throw them all in a basket or put on a door knob. This handy device solves that. It is made of solid metal and is in two parts, the part that hangs over the door, and the part that attached to the first one. The has a nifty adjustable knob at the bottom to help keep it parallel to the door. And the arm swings out and even has a pull out making room for many hangers. My problem was my door is thin so the door hanger rocked back and forth in spite of the bottom adjuster. I fixed it with several layers of furniture felt. Some way to adjust to top would be great.

I love all the options that this hanger gives you - we have it over the door to our laundry room and it's complete out of the way when folded up (it was easy to put together and hang over the door and it doesn't interfere with the door closing, though your expericence may vary there as it will depend on the tolerances around your door). Even fully folded, you still get a single knob that you can hang things on - it can hold a hanger or two or something else like a bag/backpack given the shape. The real magic though happens when you unfold the hanger. The first segment that unfolds has a wavy shape to better hold hangers in place and keep the clothing on said hangers apart so they can dry correctly and it works very well. But that's not all - there's a SECOND segment that extends (without the waves though) to give you even more hanging space. On that second segment, you could put more hangers (waves or not) if you space them well or hang other things. All through using the hanger, I haven't felt like it was in danger of breaking and it seems quite sturdy (for holding some clothes at least, I wouldn't us it for pull up exercises or such!)So if you could use a bit more hanging space in your cloest, laundry room or other space with a conveniently placed door, this is a great option to check out. Give it a try today!
