I tried this with a 3.5" swimbait at my local river (Chattahoochee), but have yet to catch anything on it the past few trips. I tried it in different conditions and water clarity, but it has not produced results as opposed to running a weighted jig with the same swimbait.

My buddy and me hit a local pond during the third day of a warming trend here in Texas. This pond had produced some decent fish for us the year before so we knew what we were getting into. I rigged up my Beast Coast Miyagi with this hook rig and caught three in the next 20 miutes...all between 2 and 3 lbs. He asked what I was using and he found a miyagi similar to the one I was throwing. After my 4th fish, he finally caught a decent one but was mystified as to why my Miyagi was out performing his. At first I just shrugged but then showed him this hook and spinner. He borrowed my spare and began catching decent fish for the next hour.Just goes to show how effective this hook and spinner can be. It was a good day for the first day out.

Bam! I was very excited when these arrived. Great weight, nice size hook, very sharp/sturdy and a nice long set up for the spinner. Mounted up a plastic fluke blue and silver colored. The wire screw head sunk in and grabbed nice and tight. Really good action in the water and then...BAM!!!! 5.95lbs large mouth hooked clean and easily landed! Trophy mount quality.
