I'm currently working on a few DIY projects around the house, including a remodel of a small bathroom. I'm not doing any framing, but when I saw the "OX Pro 25-Oz Ultra-strike Framing Hammer" advertised on Amazon, I figured it was time to upgrade my (pathetic) collection of three hammers. As you can see from my photos, the Ox Pro hammer is a nicely designed, well-constructed, comparatively large hammer. The Ox Tools company does a great job of describing the Pro hammer on its Amazon product page, so there's no need to repeat that information here. Nevertheless, I can say that I'm impressed with the balance, structure, performance, grip, and comparative level of comfort I've experienced so far in using the hammer. I would definitely buy it again.

This hammer is weighty but not too heavy. I like its grip; it's a decent framing hammer. The claw is long and straight, which isn't typical. I like that the handle is one solid piece with a grip added to it. It works well and has a style of its own. Nice work.

This is an excellent hammer.It feels great in hand.The grip feels very comfortable to hold and use.This has an all-steel design so you never have to worry about the head coming loose over time like with wooden handle hammers.It looks good and performs great.

Been using this hammer through a kitchen & bath remodel. Really appreciate the weight and the balance. At first it seems like a bit "too much hammer" - but really saves on the number of knocks to get a nail driven to depth.

This is significantly heavier than my older framing hammer. I'm not sure I'll be wanting to spend an entire working day swinging this beast, but it does have some features that I think will make its use more tolerable. Its weight makes it very effective for demolition tasks. It is relatively well balanced for such a large hammer and the neck design does seem to dampen shock pretty well. The straight claw is effective in pulling larger nails. The grip feels comfortable and secure. I really like the flat face; it minimizes slipping very nicely.

Ok hammer but the non slip handle end ripped off after about 2 weeks. For the money this hammer costs that's unacceptable. For reference my other 24 oz hammer that cost half as much and that I've used for the last year with the same style grip is holding up just fine.
