The male connector pin was 'flippy-floppy'; pushed it down and for now it's holding. Beyond that, it's just plug & play. Confirmed fully operational on a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5L 4-cylinder Touring edition.

Installed this in our 2016 Subaru Forester. It took a little to find the wiring harness but we eventually found it by searching instructional videos on YouTube. Regardless this wiring harness worked perfectly. All functions work as expected.
