Does the job. If you can't afford or find the Behringer unit, this one fits the bill.

GREAT!Used it several times already, lent it to my drummer for a couple of shows and I have absolutely zero complaints.Enough power to drive higher-impedance cans in the studio, MORE than enough for in-ears at a show, small and easy to pop in and out, it's a solid piece of kit.

First things first, this is EXTREMELY similar to a product from a popular international brand, right on down to having the same model number... but is it better or worse than the original?Actually, it's about the same. The original 'looks' better as far as lettering and graphics are concerned, but functionally they are nearly the same. The SENHEIDESHI P2 is 'slightly' less expensive than the name brand, so if you're buying a whole bunch of them, the difference will add up, for sure. I own several of the original design, and the SENHEIDESHI P2 seems to perform on par with the original. I honestly can't hear the difference.SO, if you want to save a couple bucks, this is a product you can do that with. I cannot make any coments about long term reliability, but the original wasn't exactlt great in that department, so if this holds up better, then that's an area where you might benefit. Now, let's talk about battery life. The product page for this item makes two different claims about battery life. In the body text, it claims "12 hours" ... in the photographs there is an infographic that claims 10 hours... so which is it? The answer is neither... I can kill a pair of AAA batteries in under 7 hours, with the volume control right up there. Which by the way, is about how long the original product lasts, so that's not too out of line.Should YOU buy it? If budget is a real concern, then absolutely yes, every dollar counts. If you prefer big dealer networks and price is no object, I can see where buying the original would feel like a good idea.

So this is my first experience with a personal monitor amplifier. There are times you are in the mood to jam but just want to keep it to yourself. There are times I feel like playing my bass at night and the amp is just too loud even at a low volume. This SENHEIDESHI P2 Portable in Ear Monitor Amplifier is the perfect solution. Other than volume and Stereo/Mono, there are no other sound adjustments available when using this amplifier. What you hear is what you get. This personal monitor amplifier can be used by a keyboardist, drummer, guitarist, bassist, or vocalist for monitoring or personal music playing. Great for jamming out in private or monitoring live. This personal monitor amplifier takes two AAA batteries to operate; not included. It is advertised that one set of batteries will last 12-hours. Can be used with earphones or earplugs. This monitor accepts either XLR or TRS connectors as input. Includes belt clip, volume knob, and battery LED. The outer shell of the P2 is made of aluminum alloy. The sound quality is very good. The only issue I have found with the SENHEIDESHI P2 is the Mono/Stereo Button is backwards. Pushed in is Mono and not pushed in is Stereo which really makes sense since the default should be stereo in my opinion. I did not take a star away for this.At the time of this review, the SENHEIDESHI P2 Portable in Ear Monitor Amplifier was selling for $31.00. This price is in line with other personal amplifiers. As mentioned at the beginning of this review, this is my first experience with personal amplifiers. I really like this one as is allows me to play my bass any time, anywhere, and has good sound quality. The personal amplifier is built very well and should last a long time.

This is my first attempt to figure out if in ear monitors are a good way for me to play at night when family is sleeping as my amp is very touchy on low volume settings. So...while I don't have anything to compare it with, there are some issues that stand out on their own. First I noticed that there is a bit of a hiss. Not bothersome at low volumes, but about half way up in volume it starts to become pretty noticeable. The second issue was that the mono/stereo doesn't work...there is no sound at all on mono mode. After listing for a bit, it felt like something was off...and it finally hit me...the stereo is actually mono. So there's no sound at all in mono mode, and in stereo mode it is actually mono. The build quality is actually pretty decent, all metal casing, and a nice thumb screw to open the battery compartment. For me though, that hiss will get too tiring to want to use for any length of time, and for the moment I am just sticking with fiddling with my volume knobs on the amp until I hit that right spot. Wish I hadn't wasted the money, just thankful it wasn't too expensive.
