I admit it has been decades since I owned a double bass pedal. When I did, it was a DW and the quality was excellent. My kit is all Pearl, and I love my (original) bass pedal, so I thought I'd give a double bass pedal offered by Pearl a try. While the quality does seem to be fairly decent, and I like the action for the most part, I'd love to make some adjustments on the tension of one of the beaters/hammers but I'm unable to. Try as I might to turn the knob that would allow this, I haven't been able to get it to budge more than a smidge. This leaves the pedals feeling unbalanced, which in turn puts me off balance. I've also repeatedly tightened, but can't get one of the hammers to stop coming loose. Overall, and extreme disappointment, and I've already made arrangements to return it.

I didn't expect them to work this good . Since they were on the inexpensive end . They function great good speed, smooth action and comfortable to play. I'm older so , I needed the action to be good. They work, so smooth , that I'm able to play many things I couldn't before. Also they make it easy. Also I like how the spring nut , locks on bottom. Didn't expect that on this inexpensive set. I haven't found anything , that I don't like. Very surprised. I was concerned about the two connecting rods on the main pedal instead of a plate. I found it's not an issue at all. I'm very happy with these pedals and did not expect to be.So thanks Amazon and Pearl. These are used on a Roland Td11 set. I sold my acoustic set years ago because, I no longer play in clubs and live in a quiet neighborhood.
