One of the best items I bought for the car.If you go off of the video it makes an easy installation the direction that comes with it the pictures were very dark.I would recommend a color installation manual for such a great product.

i'm no stranger to doing radio installs, and this one really tested me. the instructions was not that good.. looks like to be just photo copied paper with the lowest detail setting. and really for this kit, you need ultra high detail in the pictures. but sadly the print was so dark, i couldnt make out a picture to save my life. but i was able to get this installed with an aftermarket junk android radio that was 7 inches.. so, yea. .you dont need to just use 6.5 inch radio's.. for those reviewers below, they have no clue, DOUBLE DIN is physical size.. where radio screen size is just that, screen size.. you'll notice that 6.5 inch radio's have knobs and cd players.. yea.. cd players, who uses that junk anymore?! maybe some boomers do.. but honestly.. the 7 inch radio's are still double din, but they lack the buttons so they can fit a bigger screen in the same double din space. so if you have to do any modifications to the kit to make your radio fit, then stop.. take a step back, and walk away. you have no business installing this.. your out of your safe idiot zone. word of advise, if it doesn't fit try mounting the radio back about 1/8 of an inch and take the bezzel off of the radio first. you wont need it. for cheapo android radio's with 2 key lines for steering wheel control, you only need key 1 to the pac module with the single line that runs with the rca line. key 2 you ground. then go to setup and do a learn / program on the keys.. it will work just fine. last thing, be very carfull putting this into the dash, the temp readout at the top has a control header line that runs down the left side of the kit face, and its really easy to damage it if you hit it with an edge in the dash.. so before you press it down to lock it into place, make very sure there is nothing that is going to hit that header.. i almost broke mine, lucky i have good sense when installing these things and felt the resistance and backed off to see why.. other than that.. this thing is great. but be sure to save your original radio, as this kit does not have a "Config" button for changing settings like langauge and other stuff.. without it, its impossible to get to config mode on the dash.

High quality product. Detailed install instructions.I installed a SONY XAVAX5500 along with this kit into my 2013 2SS. The radio fit perfectly (see photo).Took a fair bit of soldering to get everything connected to the radio harness but all the coloured wires lined up as expected. I used the amplified output on the control unit as indicated in one of the videos I watched on how to install this. I think if you have a 1SS you're supposed to use the un-amplified connector. The install was fairly straight forward, but there is a piece inside the dashboard that you have to cut once you remove the factory radio that was a pain to get at. My radio wouldn't fit without cutting this piece but perhaps some lower profile radios would.I didn't bother hooking up the lock unlock button wires (orange and pink IIRC) as it required tapping signals off a main wiring harness and I really don't see the point of that even being a button on this set up. There are only two doors and both of them have lock unlock functionality. Why put another redundant switch in the centre?I also don't love the look of the temperature display being up above the radio in the Metra 99-3028S kit that display is lower which I think looks better but I chose this kit cause it looked higher quality. Also the screen plays a cool animation when it starts up - honestly I wish it just stayed on that animation cause I already have the temperature on Android Auto.Additionally, I lost my rear parking sensor functionality, but I did keep the factory back up camera (thought it's quality isn't very good I might upgrade some day). However, I did fail to install the chime module as I found it made a very annoying sound so maybe the parking sensors uses that...My final minor gripe is that I can't seem to get the answer/hang up buttons on my steering wheel to work with my Sony radio on Android auto. I tried the reprogramming steps for the steering wheel buttons but it never seems to take - it just always attenuates the sound output - oh well.Overall good product - just a few gripes and it was a bit pricey at ~$510CAD hence the 4 stars.

Do not buy item from them, it failed under warranty but Amazon as the seller is telling me I need to send it back first, but it needs all the electrical components connected to operate the car. But they want me to send it back and wait for another one. So probably a month before I would see one. Pac audio told.me it should be no problem, but not the case when you deal with this outfit. Extremely bad service

I bought this and used professional installation to replace a standard radio/CD player in a 2015 Camaro LS. I replaced the radio with a Pioneer AVH-521EX. My car did not have a backup camera before but I also got that added. The only issue, which I don't care at all about, is that the steering wheel controls don't work any more. I didn't find those particularly convenient so I don't care. I'm very impressed with this radio replacement kit and very glad somebody made it so I can replace the stock radio after it started having problems. I don't use OnStar so it probably doesn't work either, but I also don't care about that.Update 11-26 - The steering wheel controls do actually work with incoming calls. I tried to test this earlier, but the short version is that there was a problem with my test that had nothing to do with this replacement kit.

Kit is amazing if taken to a professional to handle everything. Bought a 7inch display to go along with this kit and some subs, when I went to install the display was too big. Now I have a pioneer avh501ex which is 6.2 inches which fits perfectly and works like a charm. Really recommend this product but the instructions are too difficult for the average human.

I have to say, this dash kit is pretty fantastic! The factory look is preserved and I absolutely love my new setup. The kit comes with everything you need to replace the dash, all you need is a touch screen stereo unit and you're good to go!I installed a 6.2 inch double din touch screen and that was a tight fit, so I wouldn't recommend going with anything too much bigger. The kit is an almost perfect fit, but anticipate taking time to adjust a few times. You'll also have an easier time with wire placement if you extend the harness wires out a bit.All in all, I really like how it looks. I put this and two 10" subwoofers in and even with the base speakers, the car bumps now. I highly recommend this dash kit to anyone who wants to upgrade to an aftermarket stereo and maintain the overall look of the dash.

I bought one of these directly from them. I usually use Amazon but didn't know they had them for sale. I included a photo to prove I bought one. they don't really spell it out that you should confirm your specific double din deck fits in there. I was under the presumption they would've had this sorted because it's a basic, they do not. My pioneer AVIC-Z140BH doesn't fit. it was an $800 deck at time that I was not planning or trying to replace, works fine. I'll either have to get a new stereo or Dremel this one ...turning into quite the project beware and make sure your double din deck actually fits. I'm not even measuring anything call them directly. not as easy as they make it out to be but if you have good wherewithal of tools and stereo install and you'll do fine. Everything works on mine except I can't get the darn thing closed into the dash. A lot more work and frustration than I bargained for.Ok, I was a bit harsh on my first review which was 2 stars....there was a lot of engineering and pioneering that went into this thing, that was their saving grace. Everything works as it should and it looks slick. I had to just about take a chainsaw to the western and eastern sides of the double din to get it to fit my 7 inch screen. I had to do about 6 removal and unremovals to shave it til it was right. This is no careless feat cause circuit board is a mm away from the southern edge, great care must be taken to shave exactly. It's a lot of work, but if you have the willingness, get it. Or just get a radio that fits, that what pissed me off initially, I cannot recall that being mentioned at all.
