I've used this soap for years, melting it down to customize. What I received was labeled from 2008 (12 years old!). It does not melt, has a strange oder, darker in color, denser when cutting it & has a strange somewhat gritty feel to the dry bar. I'd be very afraid to use this seller's stock on any of my leather.

This soap is great for burnishing edges on the custom leather goods I make. That is what I use it for mostly. It is also great for cleaning saddles, tack, boots & shoes also. Really anything leather. Fast shipping.
