I bought these bolts for a rather unorthodox application - to repair a broken fastener on one of my ski boots. The bolt worked perfectly and saved me the $75+ the ski shop quoted me for the repair. The bolts are quality-made and despite being exposed to harsh winter conditions mine has held up wonderfully. A fine product at a good price.

I used these bolts to add a bash guard onto my crank. They worked perfectly. The threads are well formed with low friction so the friction of the nut against the inner chain ring was sufficient to allow tightening the bolt heads without the need for a wrench on the nuts. Perfect.

I ordered Juscycling Pack of 5 Chainring Female/Male Bolts Nuts with for Single chainring. However, I recieved 4 male and 6 female. So, I am one short. Unfortunately, the threads are different from the old bolts, so I cannot use the old male with the new female. I guess I got unlucky. They are well made and the threads are very clean. So, if you get the correct number, they would be great.Update: I emailed the vendor and they responded quickly. So, I'm happy with the customer service.

These are chromed carbon steel. Attracted by a magnet. Able to rust. I ground them to 8.9 mm of 10 mm diameter shank (they start out at 10.8 mm) so I could go through a middle ring, 2 mm of spacers, the crank spider, and the outer ring and still have the outer ring catch on the protruding 10 mm nut. Seeing as they are carbon steel, I painted the ends with a metal-compatible primer/paint spray. I drilled five 25/64" holes in a piece of 1/4" plywood, pushed the shortened nuts through, and sprayed just the protruding ground-off ends. My original bolts with the nice maker's name stamped into them were long enough to engage the new nuts with more than 5 threads, so I re-used the old bolts.

I'll give it five stars because it's exactly what I needed.I ended up buying a few of these because the packaging is a little confusing.1x = a naked chainring.2x = one chainring guard3x # two guards and the chainring.Once that got figured out, they were the exact right size to add those additional guards to the chainring. No issues with quality or packaging. Delivery was quick. All in all, if I had been a little more clear on what I needed this would have been flawless, but I'll own my own misunderstanding.
