This pot allows you to do wiring modifications to your guitar without having to modify the body of the guitar. Used for coil splitting, coil tapping and phase shifting. This a short shaft pot (threaded bushing is 3/8" tall & 3/8" diameter, shaft is 1/4"diameter). Pot is manufactured by Bourns. Note: 1. Requires 3/8" diameter mounting hole 2. If you have an import guitar it is probably using metric sized components and these pots cannot be used without modifying the openings on your guitar.

For me I don’t love these as replacements for a Les Paul standard pots. I used them to make a Jimmy Page style circuit, but the taper means that you have maybe 20% of the throw as usable, there’s a very sharp falloff from full volume to mid then a slow decline before a sharp end drop off.I also found that three of the four I ordered had noticeable crackle fresh out of the bag while turning. You may or may not love the feel, these don’t have a great deal of resistance.

This is my 2nd attempt at writing an honest review (for whatever reason Amazon flagged the first negative review as spam). After I installed, potentiometer was sticky on the number 4 position of my Les Paul volume control. Plugged in the 4 position had a complete dead spot like a switch. I had to order a 2nd set due to this, while the 2nd set (only used one potentiometer) worked, it is still a pain to have to unsolder and reinstall a new potentiometer that should have worked properly in the first place. Also, I've worked in the electronics field for over 30 years so I know how to do a proper install.

So, these are a great value and worked as expected. They sweep clean and enjoyed them for a brief time. But the push push style has eclipsed these, for me. Nothing wrong with these, but matter of preference.

Easy install, pull-push works perfectly, smooth turning with some resistance.

Wired LED Paul to switch humbuckers from series to parallel to simulate single coil pickups for a more treble rich tone when desired.

Great pots. Did Jimi Page mod on sons Gibson Les Paul tribute T. Great sounding pots. Push pull feels solid and the rotation friction is very similar to the Gibson pots.

I needed four long shaft push-pull pots for mods I made to my Harley Benton Les Paul style guitar. Each tone control splits/taps the humbuckers into single coil. One volume control changes the pickups from parallel to series, and the other changes the humbuckers from in-phase to out-of-phase. I tried this with CTS push-pulls, which I normally like very much. But their size and lack of lugs for wiring made it difficult. The smaller size of the Bourns plus their wiring lugs made the mods a breeze to wire up. Highly recommended.

What can you say? Bourns pots are the best you can get.
