Recently i bought my dirt cheap first car which is a 2004 Suzuki Alto and the first thing i needed is get a better sound systemas the old 20 year old paper speakers had no soundstage whatsoever and the head unit it had seriously lacked quality and also functions. I decided to go with the Pioneer MVH-S320BT for the head unit after reading a lot of good reviews about performance and it had all the functions i needed. For the speakers i first planned to get JBL Stage3 4" speakers but i needer speakers with only 2 mounting tabs and doesn't have any appropriate power tools to cut the extra tabs off so i looked for a solution in this price range that had easy to remove tabs and this is how i found the Kicker CS 4" speakers. I've had a bit of research but there wasn't a lot of information available online about these speakers and what I've found was either prising the quality of the speakers or complaining about them arriving broken. So i took the gamble and bought these and i have to honestly say that the speakers are amazing and perform as good as i hoped for and better than i imagined. Obviously don't expect proper Bass response from this size even if it's advertised as "full range". The "40hz response" shouldn't be taken seriously but the speakers perform really great down to 80hz. They definitely need a good EQ setup to get the best out of them and if it's done properly, thay are completely usable standalone without a subfoower for most music genres. For rock, acoustic and vocal centered music they are brilliant but when listening to something "Random Access Memories" the lack of proper bass response really shows. With the proper tuning you can get some sub-bass out of the speakers but it won't be anything accurate but muddy and the different frequencies will come through without any tonal difference narrowed down like there's either low end humming or no low end humming, but hardly any distinguishable notes. For non-nitpicky users they will do great and far beyond what you would expect from 4" speakers. The mid-range and high end are crisp clear and I'd say i couldn't find any frequency range above 120hz where these speakers wouldn't perform excellent. Every note and tiny detail comes out as clean as my $200 3.5" active studio monitor pair. Can't wait to get a subfoower to complete the frequency response in my car but even until then I'll be happy to daily drive these speakers even standalone in the 2 hours I'm driving daily during my commute. The build quality is also excellent. I slipped my hand while installing the speakers and trying to force them into their cutout in the car and the screwdriver i was holding impacted the main membrane with forces i wouldn't expect any speaker to survive. These ones didn't even get scratched. I'm new to car audio so to speak but Kicker already earned a really good place in my heart.

I just purchased a new bobcat excavator. The speakers that came in the excavator were extremely disappointing. So disappointing for the first 10 hours I ran the excavator I sat in silence. I thought to my self why not replace them. I came across these kickers. I’ve had kicker in the past and have yet to be unsatisfied with them. Now let’s be honest with our selfs. These are 4” speakers. You’re not going to win a competition with these. However for the money they seemed like a 10,000 dollar upgrade for my 120k excavator. Clean, crisp, and yes alittle boom boom bass was what made these speakers worth every last penny.

Installed in my new 24’ gladiator and the sound was substantially better. They are good quality and for the price was a no brainer upgrade for factory. Holes on sides don’t always like up perfect so you may need to drill holes or bend the metal a bit to make it work. Overall sounds great and dramatically improved the sound vs. stock. I replaced all 8 speakers with kickers, always been a great product.

Had to replace a pair of 4 inch Pyle coaxial speakers that were installed in the rear doors of our WRX. During a well below zero winter day, the button volume switch stuck going louder and would not stop on the head unit and blew both back speakers. Fortunately, both front speakers, separate front tweeters, rear sub, head unit and separate amps (old version Kicker amps) made it fine. The 4 inch Pyle speakers worked perfectly fine since we installed brand new at least 18 years ago. Well done Pyle! I could not find the same Pyle model or similar ( long time ago) and settled on these Kicker ones. These are very similar sounding to the ones I helped destroy. These Kicker ones work perfectly fine and are clean and clear as the old ones were.. Now if I can remember to warm the car up MORE before goofing with the stereo. Good Job Kicker. ~They are working great and do sound good! Happy again!Edit~September 30th, 2024. Still working perfectly! And we sometimes like our music loud..lolAll good with these!

Not sure what to believe if it is a 2-way or 3- way speaker. Advertised as a 3-way but paperwork says they are 2-way. That said, they sound better than other 4" speakers I've tried but not great for bass. Really can't expect too much out of a 4" though so decent and worth a try.
