This is the ideal size for a portable travel practice pad. I have been dragging around larger diameter, thicker practice pads that get squished in a backpack and are heavy. This pad is lightweight and protected by the case. It is not intentionally "double sided" to have a softer and quieter side (which would be ideal), but the non-slip material on the back actually can be used as a softer side if you have decent aim and avoid the 2" hole in the middle.

I bought this and another brand for my 10yr old to play on. Much quieter than the other and has a slip proof backing. Love it!

unusable upon opening. no damage to packaging cheap glue. overall low quality. had good luck with cheap no-name pads off amzon in past. will stick to name brands for same price.

Pad arrived in undamaged box as expected. However, the cover's zipped was broken beyond repair and is useless. Pad is excellent a great addition to my drumming career. Not happy that one cannot comment to the company direct so I know it will be a waste of time to attempt to get another one. So, I have to deal with it as is.

I needed this practice pad to help recover from years of not touching a drum. the package is just the right size. The strike response is just like a real drum head. I now can't pass it up without stopping and practicing a few rudiments and cadences. The carrying case is protective and easy to carry and store.

Santa brought this for my daughter this Christmas and she loves it. I love that her drumming isn't loud and driving me nuts! I know very little about musical instruments but this is great for us!
