I use this a lot at work. Definitely sturdy. 5/16 cable. And, a nice, thick coating on the cable.

I'm using these for an off-label application. The strength rating is important to me. The primary coating on the cable is excellent. The thimbles and eyes are well crafted. The rings are smooth, clearly stamped. The secondary coating applied only over the eye clamp area is not durable enough. It tore the first time it came into contact with tree bark. I can probably remove and replace it with sufficiently durable shrinkwrap sleeve, but for the money I would appreciate not having to manually upgrade this product. I need the coating to protect tree bark, webbing, and kernmantle style static rope from abrasion caused by the cable and worse by the eye clamps. BTW, The nice PVC coating the 7x19 cable itself is deluxe and brings the diameter up to approximately 1/2" or 12.7mm.

Product says it’s 1/4” but it has to be at least 3/8”. Not a deal breaker, however, it is bigger/heavier than expected. I have no don’t it’ll hold if I happen to take a fall. Cable has a pretty thick coating which will protect from arcing out when welding. Not a bad deal for the money.

I'm an iron worker and the cheaters came they are nice but the tag is vinyl or something so that's the only concern I have.. other than that great product I would recommend a steel weight capacity tag and they would be prefect 👌...
