I bought this as a gift for my father, who works in high places with tools. This one is able to wrap around items, which can then be secured with a small amount of tape. It is for items that do not otherwise have a lanyard or other means of securing. If you are climbing somewhere, even if only on a ladder, and do not want to risk dropping tools, this is for you.

Fabulous heavy duty tool lanyard at a great price. Extensive stitching at both terminal ends ensures the attachment points will not fail. Screw lock carabiner prevents accidental disengagement from the anchoring point.The 17 pound rating insures your free falling 5 pound tool will not build up sufficient force to cause failure...just don't get carried away and use it as a tow strap.Although not recommended, you can loop around your wrist for the anchor point as long as your item is not that heavy (
