First and foremost, I'm both happy and disappointed that I successfully fixed my Sony. As much as I wanted a new TV, I figured for the price to have my Sony "recycled," I might as well attempt to replace the LEDs. My TV had the red blinking light issue. I tried bypassing the red blinking light by grounding one of the leads, but no dice. I only had about 2-3 times of "resetting" the TV, by leaving it disconnected for a few minutes, before I got the very, very faint "Sony" logo appearing at startup and from that point on, I knew it was time to replace the LEDs with new strips.Go to YouTube and look at BigDog8882's for the step-by-step. You need about 2-3 hours where you can take your time, but this repair is definitely doable.The LED strips were basically plug and play, and they come with 3M tape applied (peel/stick). I took a sharpie and marked where a few of the LEDs were located as well as where the strips start and end. Everything lined up the first time, and the power connectors were very easy to apply.The TV looks brighter and sharper.

Fixed my sony bravia 60" kd-60x690e 6 red lights with blank screen. Took maybe 2 hours with a good youtube video how-to. At first i had no picture but green indicator, took apart and found my ribbon cable connection was crooked which fixed that! Have a 60" tv for $40 LED's!

Replaced the LED lights in my Sony kd60x… because I had a black screen ( red light was blinking 6 times).. this leds work perfect and my tv is working again!
