As others have stated, these bend fairly easily, and break when you try to straighten them. I usually go through a couple each year. Back in the day, this was a 3-pack. At least they are still fairly cheap, and replacing these beats pitching a $40 chain breaker.

I broke the pin because I wasn't paying attention. These replacements screw right in and you're back in business in no time. If you do any bicycle maintenance yourself you should be familiar with Park Tool. They make good stuff.

I’ve had to replace the pin 3 times now but it’s just the price you have to pay for using the best chain tool available. I’ve used this on several different kinds of bike chain and it works great everytime. The pins break easily but what can ya do? Shell out a few bucks for new pins. I wish there was a bulk package of like 10 of these pins at a discount. I know that would probably get me through most of a year.

I fix and tinker with many bikes throughout any given year. These are particularly strong compared to others that bend even the first time you use them. However, they're not gonna last forever. Nowadays you only break chains when installing a new one, just to get it to length. Then you snap a quick link. I've broken some of these tips but they last and take some use and abuse.

They are replacement pins that fit most Park Tool Chain tools, They seen good quality I haven't used them yet as I bought them as spares. If you like a comprehensive small tool kit whilst out cycling and own a Park Tool Chain Tool buy them.
