Exactly what I needed to take my 110v generator to my 50a inlet and power both branches of my house breaker panel (obviously excluding any 220v appliances). Really high quality connections and heavy gauge cable. Worth noting the 50a end has a screw in plastic coupler that had to be removed to let me reach my inlet connections.

This Dog Bone is exactly what it is described as. It takes a 50 amp 240 volt RV Connection and reduces it to a 30 amp 120 volt RV Connection. CAUTION! If you do not know the difference between how a 50amp 240V RV electrical panel is wired compared to a 30amp 120V RV panel you are crazy to try and build one of these yourself. Note in the description of the product that is sates that both "hots" are bridged. Besides changing the "style" of the connector from 50 amp to 30 amp the "bridging" function is critical in order for all of your 120 volt items in your RV to work when you connect to a 30 amp source if your RV is wired for a 50amp 240V service. As with all of these types of cables and connectors, the cost on a per connector basis to try and build one is much higher then is the cost of this UL, ULC and CSA approved manufactured item. Don't take a chance on getting it wrong. Buy this item and never you have to concern yourself again as to whether an RV park has a 50amp or 30amp electrical service.
