The component works fine but as the description states, on some applications the power wire is too short. As with mine a husqvarna yth2348. I spliced extra wire in to make it work and it runs as it should.

I was ready to give up on my 2003 Craftsman GT5000 52" (Briggs and Stratton 22HP) after putting up for a couple years with it running very weak, back firing and with a strong gas odor after running for 20 mins. It sounded like it was running on just one cylinder, so I figured that one cylinder was not being fired by the ignition system. In addition to these ignition coils, I spliced in new wiring, replacing brittle, mouse-chewed wires, new spark plugs and new filters; fuel, oil and air. My old ignition coils were a slightly different style, but these look beefier and better than the originals and were a perfect fit. I looked for the best value (low cost + good reviews) for my ignition coils and these were the lowest priced yet with over 4 stars. They arrived quickly and I couldn't be happier with the result. This easy and low cost part replacement saved me from buying a new tractor. Big smile on my face when she fired up on the first crank and roared to life - both cylinders. My old tractor runs great now.

If these don't look like your old style magneto's there's a reason. These newer wider coil body magneto's run cooler and should last longer. Ive bought 2 from these guys so far and both have worked perfectly. Always read the reviews though.Note: When mowers don't seem to have the power they used to even after servicing (new plugs, air filter & oil change) your magneto/coil might be the problem. Any ohm reading over 6 on the 20k ohm scale (usually) means the coil is begining the end of it's life cycle. Over 9 and it may be harder to start or not start. Infinity reading(the 1 on the left side of the Meter) means No continuous connection from point A to point B or it's completely burnt out or corrosion of the wires at the mspark plug connection may be preventing the electricity from completing it's journey & it should be replaced (or the wire & cap pulled apart & cleaned). Measure between the ground blade (little wire blade connector under the coil) to the plug cap connector (big wire that fits to the top of the spark plug).
