Some of them were not totally flat but the intended purpose was satisfactory. You'd have to be 2 feet or less from the ceiling to even see the ones that weren't flat. Good Rings were just too expensive so it's nice to have a cheaper option that's still metal

I moved into a home, and I had to replace older recessed lights due to some ceiling damage from the previous owners. These definitely worked when replacing modern lights and hiding the issues on the ceilings. They were definitely what I was looking for, and I'm very happy with them. They are as advertised.

The handyman that swapped out our old 1980's heat lamps with new recessed LED's did a shoddy job cutting out the new mounting holes. I guess canned lights were 3.5" back in the 80's, so he needed to expand the holes a little to get 4" lights in. I could tell he was going to "wing it" and instead of tracing a template and cutting perfectly-sized holes, he just busted out a saw and started cutting. Who knew that eyeballing it wasn't the way to go?Fortunately, I stumbled across these goof rings, and they were just what I needed. I installed them on the four lights the handyman installed, and now it looks like someone who knew what they were doing did the job. I plan to get more to use on another set of lights done by an equally sloppy electrician.
