These used to be ubiquitous in all local fish stores, but none in my area carry them anymore. I use them for uplifts in my ancient under-gravel filter, where their small size doesn't slow the flow, but they put out lots of small bubbles to create the uplift. When the bubbles eventually slow after a couple of years, I just replace them.

Bought as a cheaper alternative to Biorb's ayirstone, and I love it! Works just the same and fits perfectly. Makes the same size bubbles & everything. Pic for attention but my fish is camera shy :(
