This set of keychain making hardware is very nice. It comes with a variety of sizes in silver and gold. These pieces are simple to use and very durable. They make lovely gifts as well. It all stores nicely in the included clear plastic container which is divided and presorted already in the box. the container stores away nicely when not being used and this kit makes the process much more efficient. Overall, a quality product at a good value. I wold recommend.

I think this is a good value for the amount of pieces that you get in this set. I am making my own real stone jewelry and this fits in nicely with my crafts.There are enough pieces to make some keychains but also I can use some of the parts for my necklaces and bracelets.It is a good kit for someone making their own jewelry.The gold metal looks cheap though so I will be giving one to my daughter to run through the works before I try selling anything with the gold.

This is a nice selection of hardware for making key rings and other projects. The items seem sturdy enough for my needs.The majority of it is small jump rings, so there is enough here for a long time. The other clips and rings are a decent amount for quite a few items.The color is bright enough without any dull looking pieces.Good overall supply of items.

I like to make various things out of resin and I also dabble in micro-crochet. I was growing tired of making pendants and earrings and thought I would try turning a few of my creations into keychains. This kit worked really well. I liked that it came with plenty of rings, lobster clasps and jump rings in both gold and silver. The rings are already turned open which was a huge help but a small pliers will still be needed to close and secure them. The is a great kit if you are looking into making keychains to sell or give as gifts.

I would recommend this kit as a starter set and I do think its a value, given that you can make 30 keychains with the supplies but please consider the following...Lets break the kit down. Of 990 pieces, you're given:760 "O" rings (these are generally just connector pieces and you don't typically use a lot at once.)80 keyrings in 2 different sizes80 lobster claw clasps40 extension chains30 keychain clipsThe main part to making the keychains are the clips, so technically you could only make 30. That would leave 50 extra keyrings and lobsterclaw clasps, 10 extension chains and several hundred "O" rings depending on how many you used in the making. Now, that's not to say that they are wasted. They could certainly be used to supplement other projects one may have but I think its best to consider what its being marketed as and you can certainly make some keychains with this.I would recommend adding some baubles, like beads and such, to give it some pizzaz and sparkle, dressing it up. My only other consideration is that I wish the gold wasn't so bright. I favor the silver color over it.

This set will satisfy anyone looking to make keychains! There are silver and gold choices for every style and size, and there are small, medium and large options for the design elements, including extender chains to hang items once the keychain is made. Jump rings and split rings are included, as well as swiveling clip-ons. The finish seems smooth and without rough burrs to catch on clothing or skin. These will be fun for a party for teens to imagine personalizing and making their own keychain, since any cute or personal charms or photo holders, etc. are easy to attach. I make jewelry from beads and gemstones, and I will add those to these keychains for gifts to match the personalities and favorite colors of the gift recipients. I would add that you will likely need a Split Ring Pliers to use to open the split rings of the keychain, instead of risking breaking or injuring your nails when you put the keychain elements together.

#1 hang on to that little sheet of bubble wrap inside the divided tray. It's not a flaw per se, but those boxes are notorious for the jump wrings and smaller parts to move around inside and the bubble wrap will fill any gaps between divider and lid. If you lose the bubble wrap, a couple thicknesses of cheap felt from your local dollar store will make a fine replacement. It's not an especially fancy kit but would be perfectly fine for basic hobby crafting and projects. Could also be used for things other than Key Rings. I've got a crocheted bag that I have been trying to figure out a handle set up for and I'm thinking the split rings in the bag itself and then the dog clips to attach the handles with. That's one of the great things about these inexpensive kits. You can afford to get several different ones and then figure out what all you can do with them that maybe the vendors never even thought of.

The order has reached me fast in a very neat compartment box. The gold color is a standard plated gold, the "silver" looks more like steel or pewter. But, the most important thing for me is quality. I checked every clasp for possible defects; normally, I find a couple (sometimes a good few) clasps in these types of kits that doesn't close, doesn't open, spring broken, or otherwise useless. In this kit every each one of them works how they supposed to. I was very pleased about this. The plating is flawless, carefully polished, no crack, chips or bubbles. The size selection is great for various projects, though, I would've welcomed a little bit more chain pieces. This box has everything one would need transform a small amigurumi into a key chain or add fastening to that bracelet you've just made. Thank you, this is a thoughtfully assembled, quality product.
