So basically this card has only 3 full speed ports and the other 5 are shared off one. So you have 3 that move at full speed and if you have the other 5 plugged in, the 5 move at like 20,000kbps. The others move at 120,000 and up. I know this because im wiping hard drives using DBANS and it tells you the speed. I purchased this one which also connects to a X4 pcie slot and all 6 move at the hard drives max speeds. Basically the other one has this chip in it.
