The only thing that sets this stand apart from others with higher prices is the weight and thickness of its parts, and maybe it's plastic basket adjustment knob, which I actually like very much. Saving money one stuff like this to spend on actual instruments is a win for me!

My SKB trap case has been too heavy for years. I swapped out my heavy duty cymbal stands to the DW ultralight but continued using my heavy duty DW snare stand. I finally decided to try the PDP by DW lightweight snare stand and was happy with the features for full adjustable angles and sizes of snares. Works with my deep 14x6” snares with no issues. So far so good plus weighs several pounds lighter than my Heavy duty snare stand. Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.

I needed to replace a basket for a Ludwig stand I have that broke, but in searching, discovered I could get a whole other, light weight, stand for only $10 more than just a heavy-duty basket. I've taken this new stand on a half dozen gigs already and it's working out great.
