About Pearl
Pearl specializes in the manufacture of musical instruments, specifically drums, percussion instruments, and flutes. Pearl began in 1946 in a small backyard workshop in Tokyo, Japan. From these humble beginnings, Pearl has now grown to become the iconic brand. I love all the BC900 series of hardware, it's durable, well made, sturdy and stands (haha) up to the constant packing and unpacking of gig-culture. It's not a massive dent in the wallet, but for the additional cost compared to no-name brands, well worth the up-charge. I also have the hi-hat stand and love it.

I have BC900 stands and thought this was a newer replacement as my others are about 12 years old. Although it is a good, sturdy stand, these no longer have the height memory locks. To me, that was VERY disappointing.

I play in my church worship team and have hit the skins for 30 years now. I believe this is by far one of the best boom stands I have ever had. GREAT quality and an affordable price. This stand is heavy duty and very well balanced.
