Free Floating Snares offer the truest articulation and response from the shell material. The shell is completely isolated from any hardware, nothing to encumber its ringing clarity, just unbridled response.

I was fortunate to find these online through Amazon via the Pearl Corp. Very easy to install. In the past they have broken but were still able to keep the drumhead in playing condition until replacement. I ordered a few more and keep them in my stick bag...just in case. Theses are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture)
