I’m not sure what these do because i haven’t noticed anything on my machine. I bought them because i read it stops the bobbin from jumping now and then but honestly, these didn’t help

How did I not know about these before now? This tiny little ring makes all the difference. No more thread nests and having to stop and rip stitches out of my sewing. This has been a game changer. I won't see without one in my bobbin from now on!

I found these easy to use. They do come out occasionally (stick to my bobbin) so I'm more careful as these get lost easily - but they do make my life easier as the bobbin works so much easier. I do recommend - I have plenty to last a long time - the quantity is great! Thanks much

The stitching on my machine just wasn't smooth. I would have a bump here and a bump there, knowing it was coming from the bobbin. I tried adjusting the stitch on the machine, changed needles, and still I was having bumps in my stitching. I went to the Singer website and found a Q/A discussion page, and bobbin washers was recommended. I immediately went to Amazon and found what I needed. They are light, easy to use and the "bump" in my stitching is gone.
