Comes packed flat and is a bit deceiving how it assembles for size, but once you have it all unfolded and flippy flap this way and that - not bag this little thing!Very comfortable on the back if you are transporting like that walking or something. IT can carry *some* weight but a 25lb animal might be too much. The quality for straps and stitching is "pretty good" but not fantastic Samsonite luggage level. So when interacting with animals it will last a while but not more than a few years of good hard use.I do like the multitude of flaps and air vents, entry points to get the scratching cats inside and things like that. you can just open it up and let them play inside it as a trick then capture them later on ha!Overall a solid transport choice if you need a backpack style.

My daughter takes her own cat back and forth to college with her. Getting the cat into a container such that he's not roaming around the car while she drives on the interstate became a priority. A soft-sided carrier seemed to be the solution that we were hoping for. This is a good one!It has screens on three sides so that the cat can look out at the world zipping by. There's also a rolled curtain that can be brought down over the front window, in case your animal prefers it that way (or you do). The fourth side has backpack-type straps, so that the whole thing can be carried on one's back. There is also a handle on the top so that the carrier can be picked up and carried like a small suitcase. The overall size of this carrier was a pleasant surprise. I've seen some that were big enough to hold a cat, but the size was all in the height. The floor space in those others was small enough that the cat was pretty well confined to curling up in one spot. This carrier, if pressed to do so, could easily hold two good-sized cats. A small dog would also not be out of the realm of possibility. The sides of the carrier zip up both of their edges, by which I mean that of the four sides of the rectangle that forms the side of the carrier, a zipper can be pushed up along the sides and the top. There are two zippers on each of the sides, kind of like you have on the top of a backpack, so that you can zip both zippers and they'll meet in the middle of the top.To sum up, then: Sturdy zippers give full access. Strong straps and handle for carrying purposes. Large square footage on the bottom for kitty comfort. My daughter loves it and so does her cat!

The design of this backpack carrier seems fairly decent: good-sized mesh windows (though I wish the windows on the sides were a bit larger and that the front mesh window went higher, like a moon roof on a car). The carrier is quite a bit heavier than the shoulder carrier we've been using (which only weighs 1 lb), but this is a larger and heftier backpack, big enough for our fur baby to lay down in comfortably. Even though it's shorter than his carrier, the height and depth make this feel spacious. I think because of the depth of the backpack, the strap across the chest will be necessary. (Note: it's still off-gassing, atm.)I like the "full-height ceiling" on the backpack. The ones with the slanted front seem like they would make it uncomfortable for a bigger dog to sit upright comfortably. Plus, I can imagine a scenario where it would be useful to lay the backpack on the ground (shoulder straps facing down and the front mesh window open), to allow doggo the full interior space to lay down and spread out.Lastly, as a car carrier, this is sturdier than the on-the-shoulder carrier we have, but since that one is longer, doggo can lay down more easily. In this backpack carrier, however, it's much taller and deeper, so overall, I hope he'll enjoy the space more.

Used this carrier for long car commutes to my family cottage and it's great quality. The mesh keeps my cat in but allows breathability and her ability to see what's going on outside, keeping her safe.

We love going on adventures and wanted to be able to bring our cat with us. When we saw this cat carrier backpack we couldn't wait to get it! After getting it and putting it together, I put it a couple of feet from our cat and waited to see how he would respond to it. He started checking it out right away, and has no problem walking into it on his own. It was fairly simple to assemble and didn't even need the directions. There is a hard bottom insert that you can put in the backpack that has either a very nice fluffy material on it, or if you flip it over it is a hard plastic type of bottom. It didn't look very big before putting it together because it folds down so flat and compact. However, once you start unfolding it you realize that this is a very nice size. There are lots of zippers on it: one in the front for a front door, one on the side for kitty to poke her head out of, and another one little one on the other side so you can pet kitty. There is also a compartment on the sides for food and another for a water bottle, along with a small zipper pouch near the bottom in the front to store other little things. Inside the backpack is also a leash that you can attach to your cat's collar so she won't jump out. My cat absolutely loves this backpack carrier and we didn't have to coax her at all to go in it. This is very well made and high quality! I really like the square shape as opposed to a circular one because it gives my cat more room for standing. There is only one size on this bag, so if you're putting a dog into it you will want to check the dimensions of it first before getting it to make sure your dog would fit. The materials and the quality of this backpack is really good. I have had other pet backpack carriers and this is my favorite so far. The straps for carrying this backpack are nice and thick plus are very adjustable. I did notice that I will want to reinforce the stitching along the bottom of the straps because they don't look super secure where it hooks to the backpack itself. I really like it, but what's even better is that my cat seems to like it! I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this carrier, it was very simple to put together and surprisingly sturdy when the panel is inserted, we immediately used this for our cat as we had a trip to the Vet the was coming up, I left the front flap open with his favorite toy inside, I was actually surprised how well he took to the carrier, even caught him sleeping in it, it has several mesh windows so your pet can see exactly whats happening, strong enough that they can't break out of it. It has multiple ways to carry as an actual backpack or by the handle on top, the straps in the back were perfect for putting the seat belt through in the car allowing him to ride in front with me. It has a small leash inside so that if your pet is a bit unruly you can lock it onto his collar to prevent him from jumping all over the walls.I am very happy with this carrier and how we now have an easy means to transport our fur babies to the Vet or just bring them along anytime we want to take them somewhere.
