So I had originally purchased the Hypertech React throttle controller for my Renegade last year and it worked pretty good until it failed on me out of nowhere and put me into limp mode. I was just going to do without and move on, but after a month of being back to stock AND taking a road trip out of state, I missed having a responsive throttle like nothing else. So instead of buying another Hypertech, I moved on to Pedal Commander and WOW! This packs even more punch than the Hypertech. On the old unit, I had it maxed out and it did the trick. This one I have to dial it back to “city mode”and it takes off plenty fast. I still need to drive it around for a week or so before final verdict and fine tune it, but first impression is this is a serious upgrade all around.

Installed on jeep renegade, the instructions were straight forward. I unplugged my battery just in case before installing. Made my jeep peppy, you gotta play with the many settings to find a response mode you like. I love it, made that pedal lag go away, and some modes too much, i burn rubber If im in sport +

I’ve looked at these for a number of years & in between brought alternative mods that just doesn’t work, but tempted by Black Friday deals, I bit the bullet & so glad I did this mod really works tiny but mighty it transformed my Jeep renegade no longer have I got that at the least irritating power lag at worst dangerous, especially when your exiting junction’s.OK it took me about 20 minutes to install but I’m going to say that’s mainly down to me being a old git ( young at heart ) failing eyesight & far less flexible than I used to be, once installed it fired into to life no regrets in fact I’ve got that born to be wild feeling again. 😈

Just got this thing for my renegade trailhawk 2021 and I'm rather impressed. I had to play with sport mode maxed out and while there is still the annoying turbo lag from the 1.3. It is shorter than before and Holy crap get ready for some white knuckles when it responds and takes off like a stabbed rat. The install is simple enough but I had to basically do some yoga poses to get my 250 pound frame under the console to disconnect the stock plug and attach the new system. The wire conveniently tucks away under the center console and the included velcro patches helped secure it to the wall of the center console. I'll update this as I continue to use it but so far I am a believer 😌.

So day one it was alright. I couldn't justify the 300 yet so I slept on it. Day two was a bit more fun, drove around and felt it overpowering how it usually runs. Half way into that drive my car lights up like Christmas.... Service engine, service throttle control, service hill start, service 4wheel drive. My jeeps just 5mo old, I dont need all that after just 24h with this "pedal destroyer". I'm unplugging it asap and sending it back today. Hopefully then my car lights go away.UPDATE: I found a cheap knock off for $50 and it did everything the pedal commander promised to. I have had it for 8months and despite its cheap quality build, it absolutely gives the results I wanted at a fraction of the cost and somehow even in sport mode I get +4mpg. Just what my Renegade 2017 2.4L needed. Big freaking difference, every Renegade need this... completely safe to use, you just need to understand how it works to know its safe. It won't interfere with your computer diagnosis, dealer repairs or warranty. This won't break your engine or your transmission. This only works with your throttle, just a connection from the accelerator throttle and computer. The only cons is if you use it in sport it will probably make your check engine light come on but it will reset itself after you run it for a while or reset by yourself with a code reset device, not a big deal for me as I know its a false alarm and it will reset later. Its completely worth. Very amazing. My acceleration response is where is suppose to be, I use it all the time in City mode, level 4 that's all I need and no false engine light alarms.

Alright, I’m not one for reviews and I’m the biggest skeptic you’ll ever meet. Just like every other person here, I love the renegade but HATE how slow the stock pedal response is. Every time I hate the gas, it would take like three seconds to get up to speed. That made left turns super tedious and Ive never been so close to death. As you might have imagined, I was hesitant to try this, but I decided why not and gave it a try. Let me tell you something.It’s awesome. The installation literally took less than five minutes. Literally just plug and play. Now you can control it from your phone, so if you’re like me and wanted to hide the controller, you can. As for the new throttle response, it’s exactly like it should be and better. I’ve got mine on Sport +3, and she guns like a corvette. What more can I say? If you’re tired of the stock renegade’s slow getup, this is definitely worth the price!!

Just installed and what a difference it makes to the throttle response. Works as advertised. I have it set to city 1 for around town. Can’t wait to try the different settings. While installation was a “snap”, getting to the top of the pedal on my renegade was a real bitch. Small hands will save a lot of frustration. Best aftermarket product I’ve found
