Very easy to install.I put them just and 1-2 inch down from the original holes as they can’t go back in the original ones. (I filled those up with caulking)Work great now and our secure. Do not over tighten or you will risk stripping the holes. Go slow and steady

Easy install the the Port and Stbd side of Pelican Summit. Did the 6 inch between screws and I did pre-drill the holes with a vey small bit to ease entry of screw. I used a dowel under the kayak on cement to fine the center point of balance. Easier to flip around on saw horses with the side handles. Also better on the beach for a quick hold and jerk to line up boat prior to entry.
