The bottom does not expand to 3.5 inches and the plastic wire length is too short to fit over file bar unless it is a thin bar. These files took up more room and contain less paper than the 2" Pendaflex hanging file. I liked that the sides are closed in but with the accordian bottom you can't fit paper or brochures in properly. I am disappointed in Pendaflex for manufacturing such an inferior product especially since they are not cheap.

Searched high and low at numerous stores around town for this style with no luck. These worked out great! They hold so much more than regular folders and hang so nicely.

We've had a huge problem with hanging folders that catch when you lift them out of the drawer. I was a little skeptical, but this style does not catch! Yay!

These work best when you use them to group several file folders together. Putting loose papers into these pockets don't work out so well. Quality is high. I highly recommend for this application.

These letter-sized folders are reinforced, sturdy, and roomy - expandable up to 3.5 inches. Four folders come in one package, making this a pricey purchase for what you get at $14. However, these folders are not easy to find in big box stores, and are excellent for storing a large stack of related documents or greeting cards, or whatever you'd like to stuff in there.
