Saw this at a hotel and asked the maintenance guy how long it had been there and did it work. He said 5 years works great so I pitched mine and working fine.

The original thermometer was unreadable after 20 years of direct sun. Now I can troll the temp again. Just like new.

Here we are 7 months later. The print is fading. Probably because after a rain moister got inside of it. Hard to read at time. Also, the thermometer is not always working. Sometime I have to shake a little. I’m super bummed because this cover is NOT cheap! Would love to be sent a new one at no cost to me. You can see in the picture some liquid on the bottom. That’s the moisture which is now turning white from removing the inside. I made a black circle, in my picture around the area that has moisture.

The thermometer stopped working properly after only 7 months but I can't find another option for what I need. That means I have to spend another $70, second time this year...

I had a really old skimmer cover, different brand that worked great, just really sun faded. Resurfaced our pool and wanted an updated cover. The new cover thermometer doesn't work. I get to busy to return things, but for $60 it should work flawless, just a piece of plastic.Side note; have new pentair pool pump, light, filter. Those work great.

Measure carefully before you order. I wasn't accurate enough and had to return it and re-order. There are 2 sizes that are very close in size.

This was exactly the replacement for my old skimmer cover with thermometer. Works as expected.

I bought this one due to not wanting a floating thermometer in my pool. Those floaters have to be tied off or they will block the skimmer and just generally a pain IMO. This one shows just a degree or two off of what the floater shows. Not sure which one is right but close enough. Didn't have to calibrate or anything. Just make sure you measure your skimmer lid dimensions so you don't order the wrong one. Be careful not to step on or roll anything over the gauge as I'm sure it will break over time.
